Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

He’s almost definitely out of Tampa unless there’s a totally new coaching staff. But I want him back somewhere and I legitimately don’t understand why anyone who likes Brady wouldn’t want him to keep playing if he can still play at a good to great level with a great team around him. What’s the harm? Why does it seem repulsive to some people?
Lol. He's just trolling. He's taken Mac10's place.

1. San Francisco
2. Miami
3. LVR

I have all three of those pretty close. LVR being the mostly likely to be available for Brady.

4. New Orleans
5. Detroit

Both are extremely remote but would be great landing spots.

I don't like Tampa Bay or Tennessee and nor do I think Brady would go to either.

Maybe Indianapolis is a possibility.

I don't think there are many other teams on the radar at this point.
If Brady ends up in Miami you can kiss this forum good bye. This place will go haywire. Lol

I can't believe that folks are still acting like NYFL players don't spend time with their kids. Who sees their kids more, a pro football player or a plumber who works 50-60 hours a week for 50 weeks?

I think Gronk is D-O-N-E done and I wouldn't invest a dime in him.

Brady is worth it to some teams and I'd like to see him end up with the Titans.

So true. NFL players are away from home 8-9 nights total during the regular season. Any Saturday before an away game. Every other night is at home. It’s not like baseball or basketball where you fly out for a three week road trip.

the Titans are the one team I hope he doesn’t go to. PFF had their OL graded as the worst in football and their WR/TE room is lacking

Many Buc fans want to move on from Brady too. Time for Viva Las Vegas. Brady will be joining legions of show biz stars who ended their career in Vegas.

As for the Bucs, what's with the hurry to rebuild and be bottom of the league for years?(similar to eager Pats fans to reload in 2019. Now 2023 and still reloading (should have just done a rebuild))

Difference with the Pats who were old is Bucs still got a core group of good players that are signed for a year or two and in their prime. They should get a veteran QB like Carr or JG and kick the cap hit down the road. They'll make the playoffs then who knows. In 2 years time is when they should tank. They'll probably suck for a decade again.

Leftwich out in Tampa. More to come.

Totally agree with the writer.

"Brady can still play -- his arm is fine -- but it was a chore watching him toil through tilts in a state of bubbling frustration. He looked lost against Dallas in Monday's wild-card wipeout, but Brady's 2022 body of work tells a different story. Is there one more magical chapter left?"
Brady definitely physically declined I think in 2022. He just couldn’t quite get the same pep on the ball especially when he was throwing off balance. Some of his decision-making also seemed to be off like he wasn’t anticipating things like he used to. I know the coaching was really bad so perhaps that’s behind much of it but I definitely saw some physical decline in him. I mean he is 45 after all.

“Former Belicheats receiver” and that’s where I stopped reading.

I would like to point out that in week 3 (I think 3) he sprained the rotator cuff in his throwing shoulder on a hard hit to the ground.

Bucs should be looking at Licht and personnel decisions rather than passing the buck to the coaches. These coaches aren’t idiots. The Bucs just had one of the top offenses in the NFL two straight years. Too much money spent on vets (JPP, Fournette) whose drop-offs were imminent based on their age. Non-star players paid like stars (Barrett, Davis.). Most importantly, team goes “all-in” for 2021 but spends 2nd round pick on Trask and refuses to deal picks for win-now vets via trade. End result is a scramble to address holes through the draft (TE, OL) which is always risky. Still I do think this is a 10/11 win team if Brady is Brady.

Brady's pocket mobility declined some this season, not drastically, but some. His arm is totally fine, no measurable drop-off there. His biggest problem I think was he didn't really want to play for Tampa Bay this season, got contractually locked into it, and then quickly realized his concerns were very justified. It affected him mentally (probably along with the off-field issues as well) and you could see it in his attitude and demeanor. At this point in his career he has no patience left, which is a problem, and if he can't find a situation that he's extremely enthusiastic about then he probably should just head to the broadcast booth.

yeah all season he didn’t look like he wanted to be there. Brady is a guy who has always been all in and the fiercest competitor so doesn’t shock me there was a “drop off” because he sure as hell didn’t want to be in Tampa this year. I didn’t see much physical decline

Honestly the New York Jets should be on his radar. They're a quarterback away from competing for the division. I'm not saying I would like it but from a football perspective the Jets should be an attractive spot for a FA QB.

A GM that brought you Brady and was key to assembling a SB roster has a pretty loose leash I would say.

Unless they fire Bowles they're not doing enough.
It has been a strange offseason IMHO. Not many HCs fired but there sure have been a lot of assistants and coords. TB is another example.
