Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Regarding the Saints D...

Last week they had ZERO pressures/hurries on Atlanta pass plays.

Is that a sign of the D not being the same, or playing it safe with a running QB? Still, a little bit of hope for those who still root for Brady.

Couldn’t stop the run either

Gisele seems pretty stupid and annoying, to be honest. If there's a kernel of truth to some of the tabloid esque rumors.. she needs to shut up and let Brady live out his last few years doing what he loves instead of acting so subversive. On the other hand, I also think the quote from Brady about not having a Christmas or Thanksgiving in 20+ years is a bit absurd.

With that being said, I'm still very, very surprised Brady is going to call games. I don't think he ever wanted to, but the massive amount he was offered was too hard to decline. I don't really blame him, but I thought he'd be the type to realize he has enough money and an extra $300M doesn't really change things, except for the materialistic side.

Oh she’s annoying. But she is definitely not stupid if you know anything about her life and career.

Yeah, it's not good when she's essentially saying you do you and I'll do me, and I've sacrificed for you so I'm putting me first. She makes it sound like she sacrificed so much for him and the children. Sorry but welcome to the real world the rest of us live in. Not feeling sorry as that's what the rest of us have to do to make a marriage and family work.

But it's not official until they throw in the towel and formalize it by a divorce.

It's a separation so there's a chance they can get back. Brady is going to need her 500 mil net worth to buy a NFL franchise lol.
I guess Gisele has a different definition of "for better or for worse."

So Rodgers has looked like an unkempt lanky hippie for 3 to 4 years now and didn’t get any criticism because ultimately he still played elite but Brady finally starts looking his age whether it’s because of stress or whatever and it’s this huge controversy.

He looked explosive for sure. Hope his body can hang on though. Already listed with a knee issue
Big blow for this Sunday if he can't go. Do they practice on Fridays?

Brady has aged but still looks good for a 45yo. Last year he looked about 35 and this year about 40. Still better than Rodgers who looks 50.

Giselle still looks hot though. Maybe she isn't experiencing the stress like Brady,.. hope she doesn't have a plaything on the side,...

Red zone efficiency is a must for the Bucs -- last week, five drives inside the Dallas 30 that yielded 12 points. Falcons were much the same against Saints -- two TDs, but got to the Saints' 35, 32, 22 and settled for field goals, then a red zone turnover and short field goal.

Winston got sacked four times, and Grady Jarrett got 1.5 of them, so there's a vulnerability to the interior rush that Bucs could exploit with Vea/Hicks/Hall. Winston's mobility looked limited avoiding pressure and he's still dealing with a back injury this week.

Mike Evans and Julio Jones are both practicing today as Bucs prepare for Saints on Sunday. Did not see Chris Godwin (hamstring) again today.

Bucs tackle Donovan Smith (elbow) just an observer at practice today. Josh Wells would step in and start if he can’t go Sunday.

Bucs running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) was practicing again Friday and looks fine to play Sunday.

So it looks like Chris Godwin is likely out and Donovan Smith is doubtful for Sunday. Only other real question mark is maybe Zyon McCollum, who has practiced the last few days coming back from his hamstring.

Looks like all the weapons minus Godwin are ready to go. Smith injury could be huge though. Wells is a turnstile

Bucs coach Todd Bowles says LT Donovan Smith (elbow) “will be close. It will be hard for him to make it but we’ll see,” for Sunday’s game.

Bowles said if WR Chris Godwin (hamstring) playing Sunday at New Orleans, “if I had to guess he probably wouldn’t.”

Wow so Godwin may be back sooner than we thought. I think by the KC game he's back

I'll take the fifth amendment on that one.

The Bucs can't lose Godwin for any extended period of time. Offense just isn't the same without his versatility. He's Brady's Welker and Edelman in a Bucs uniform but better. I'm skeptical on Julio, already an ailing knee, there's just no way he plays 17 games, probably 12 games max. It would be great if Gage can step up this weekend... live up to some of the hype around his signing... he's supposed to be the AB replacement. An RB other than Fournette needs to emerge in the passing game. I'm kinda giving up on the TEs... not getting much out of that group, just isn't a true TE1 there.

I did not see Alvin Kamara or Paulson Adebo at practice today.

Dennis Allen said Alvin Kamara didn’t have a setback Wednesday but when I asked if they just figured out Thursday that he needed to be held out, he declined to elaborate (possibly thinking I was asking about his game status vs practice status)

Here’s final injury report for Bucs and Saints. Chris Godwin ruled out, Donovan Smith doubtful and six players questionable.

Winston hasn't had a 300-yard passing game since 2019. Has only been above 250 twice. His TD% in New Orleans (7.8%) has been way above his career mark (4.7%). Also his INT% in New Orleans (1.5%) has been way below his career mark (3.5%). You would think over the course of a full season there will be a correction of those numbers. Let's hope that starts this weekend.

I think the Saints limit him on what he can do

Everything on paper favors the Bucs. As it did last season. The problem is that intangible bullsh.it is all over this matchup and I can’t pick a winner because of it.
