Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Video: Tom Brady says the Saints’ recent success against the Bucs starts with their ability to force turnovers.

Some good news. CB Zyon McCollum has returned after missing time with a hamstring strain he suffered during workouts in Tenn.

Gisele seems pretty stupid and annoying, to be honest. If there's a kernel of truth to some of the tabloid esque rumors.. she needs to shut up and let Brady live out his last few years doing what he loves instead of acting so subversive. On the other hand, I also think the quote from Brady about not having a Christmas or Thanksgiving in 20+ years is a bit absurd.

With that being said, I'm still very, very surprised Brady is going to call games. I don't think he ever wanted to, but the massive amount he was offered was too hard to decline. I don't really blame him, but I thought he'd be the type to realize he has enough money and an extra $300M doesn't really change things, except for the materialistic side.
Both of them have been pretty absurd if you think about it. I get it that he's not home but she's not slaving away over there either. He hasn't 'missed xmas' just because he's in the other room studying tape. It's all nonsense.

Well Brady did warn us that 90% of the things he says to the media is BS.

Bad coaching and game plans are part of that bad record. Bucs had opportunities to get field goals in that 9-0 loss.

Saints and Rams aren't the kind of teams that you want to get into a passing contest with even with Brady. You have to play a patient and methodical game like the Pats employ with a strong run game, win TOP, ball security, good field position, and adequate special teams. In othewords, what they did in week 1.

Scotty Miller's fine, healthy, practicing, yes.

Perriman should be fine. Was listed with the hamstring but seemed normal today at practice.

Seems everyone is picking the Saints to paste the Bucs. Hopefully that takes the pressure off the Bucs and they come in flying.

Who is? I thought the Bucs were giving points

And rightfully so. Even though Sean Payton is gone that Def is pretty much the same and is designed to shutdown the Bucs.

It also doesn't help that the offense will be a hobbled Mike Evans with Daerdan and Scotty Miller

Regarding the Saints D...

Last week they had ZERO pressures/hurries on Atlanta pass plays.

Is that a sign of the D not being the same, or playing it safe with a running QB? Still, a little bit of hope for those who still root for Brady.

Yea, I thought what they did against the Boys was a dressed rehearsal for the Saints. Though it's been tough to run against them, they did allow 5 ypa to the Falcons (5.3 counting Mariota).

Their new OL also allowed 4 sacks which bodes well for the Bucs rushers.

So Perriman and Miller with a hobbled Evans? Is that what it's going to be on week 2?

Not to mention some backup at LT. I wonder if they'll move Jordan to the left if that's the case. The Bucs honestly have to hope to come out of this game with the same number of injuries as they went in and go hammer GB next week.

I actually like the Bucs comfortably. Brady is going to silence the doubters when it comes to Saints games.

Not so sure. Banged up receivers and the LT might not play. The Defense should keep them in the game thought

The defense won't look as good as last week against multiple threats but otherwise you may be right. For whatever reason these guys are in Brady's head. He could be playing Atlanta and have 2 guys coming up in his face and it doesn't bother him, but if he even thinks Jordan and Co are near him he sees ghosts.

Brady said today the Saints "beat them up physically" in the previous losses. I bet he's using this to challenge his teammates for Sunday. He was also commenting on the roster changes from a season ago, which are considerable if you think about it. I think part of the "unfinished business" he was talking about when he "unretired" was beating the Saints in the regular season. He has 25 INTs (84 TDs) in 34 regular season starts as a Buccaneer... 8 INTs have come in 4 games against the Saints. We're going to see an intensely focused Brady this weekend.

No sense worrying about those positions until it has to be done. Tampa has become very much a "rest 'em up for the game" kind of team with regards to injury management, and a lot of teams are being very liberal with early season injury designations this year. Bowles wasn't worried about any receiver other than Godwin, and Smith's a pain tolerance issue.

There's plenty enough to be worried about even with the team's being at full strength. No need to add to that by worrying about potential injury issues.
