Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

His username and profile logo is hilarious
I had forgotten about his username and avatar. Talk about taking a long time to grieve Brady's exit from the team. I recall even posters like @sb1 were bashing Brady at one point but they quickly got themselves together. I guess this dork is scarred for life.

Yup. Was really sour at how it all happened but I got over it. Can't stay mad at the GOAT.

No Chris Godwin, no Donovan Smith as Bucs return to practice, going indoors on a rainy Wednesday morning.

If Smith can’t go Sunday vs. Saints, Bowles said veteran Josh Wells will replace him again. Said Wells “overall” played well in Smith’s place vs. Cowboys.

Injury report doesn't look great either... lots of hamstrings and knees.

I asked Todd Bowles today if he had any injury concerns at receiver other than Chris Godwin, and he said he did not. Keep that in mind when reading Bucs’ injury report.

Fournette being listed with a hamstring is concerning, but he wasn’t even held out today, which suggests it isn’t that significant.

Lmfao. Without looking it up September 30 2014 must have been immediately after the Chiefs blowout right?
This is what I assumed too.

From that thread, I thought this post was a gem. Very Max Kellerman like on calling the cliff on Brady. I think The Boston Patriot beat him on calling it. Lol this coming from 8 years ago essentially saying NO ONE can argue that Brady's best day is behind him and his skills are diminishing cause of his age.

I don't think it's ending but it's definitely on the downside. How much? Enough to be noticeable. Physical loss aside, I'm not sure he is 'all in' as much as he used to be. I'm not knocking that, as I think that is as much of the aging process as the physical aspect. In any case, I don't think that anyone will argue that 1) his best days are behind him, and 2) he isn't going to reverse the aging process of diminishing skills and abilities. Hopefully it's a more gradual slope than it seems to the OP.

I can only speak for myself, but the reason I come here more often is because I can actually say what I believe without reprisals. For now anyway.

What you "believe" is full of B.S. How's that for a reprisal?

There was a widespread failure to properly analyze the "multiple years of decline". People ignored the fact that the "decline" was based off of 2010, which was a unanimous MVP season. 2011 was still a great season, where Brady (and BB) almost carried an absolutely garbage defense to the SB title. In 2012, Gronk missed 5 games, Edelman missed 7, Hernandez missed 6, and Brady still got votes for offensive player of the year (per Pro-Reference.com). And, of course, there's the disaster of 2013, with the Hernandez stuff, Gronk out for more than half the season, Thompkins, Boyce, and Dobson starting a combined 20 games, Vereen missing half the season, Vollmer missing half the season, Amendola missing 4 games, etc...

And, even in that 2013 season, with all that went down, the "declining" Brady got the team to the AFC championship game after leading it to #3 in points during the regular season.

2012 would be considered one of his best seasons ever if he had gone full Manning and Rodgers with the goal line TD passes.

Brady
34 td passes
team had 25 rushing td's (4 from Brady)

Manning
37 td passes
team had 12 rushing td's (0 from Manning)

Rodgers
39 td passes
team had 9 rushing td's (2 from Rodgers)

Yeah Brady has always been that dude

It is amazing to look back and realize the colossal mistake they made letting him walk.
Brady's incredible success without Bill, but with coaches that many here called clowns, is why Bill's rumpswabs are so defensive these days.

Relying on aging vets with lots of miles on the wheels, hoping they can put it together for one more decent season, is what a window closing looks like. Julio Jones hasn't started all regular season games since 2018.

The split looks to be official:

You look desperate. Maybe crawl back to your new & remarkably the same boring Jete thread where you spend an ungodly amount of time. Instead of worrying about Brady's marriage, maybe you should pay more attention to your wife that's working all those late night hours with the male CNAs.

Yeah, it's not good when she's essentially saying you do you and I'll do me, and I've sacrificed for you so I'm putting me first. She makes it sound like she sacrificed so much for him and the children. Sorry but welcome to the real world the rest of us live in. Not feeling sorry as that's what the rest of us have to do to make a marriage and family work.

But it's not official until they throw in the towel and formalize it by a divorce.

It's a separation so there's a chance they can get back. Brady is going to need her 500 mil net worth to buy a NFL franchise lol.

WHOA! Does Tom's separation trouble you that much? Calm down, just sharing a bit of news. I'm certainly not worried how this could affect him and you shouldn't be either, he appears to have suitably adjusted his focus to the football field.

Edit: Sorry you find this year's Jets Suck thread boring, I tried my best to find a new angle that was both insightful and entertaining. But the time I spend there isn't as much as you might think, I type pretty fast.
