Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Speaking of FL heat when I worked for Racal-InterLan with HQ in Sunrise FL, a group of guys down there mostly Cubano challenged me and my engineers visiting from InterLan in MA to a hoops game at lunch in August. Should smoke them despite me being on the team because I had 2 great players, a 6'7" talented Croatian and a quick 5'6" guy who was a great shooter. We smoked them... until 15-20 minutes when as the old guy at 50 I ran outa gas followed minutes afterwards by my next much younger guys.
We lost. 5'6" Cuban had fun at our expense.
Where's Castro's prisons when you need them?

Much more rookie impact for Bucs than last year. Hall will rotate in plenty on d-line, White and Otton will see their roles increase with time. Goedeke still chasing LG job. Others like McCollum on special teams. Maybe a receiver surprises?

McCollum's in a really good spot to just learn and develop. Top three corners stay healthy, he doesn't need to play defense, so he can focus on special teams. I'd think Bucs get him out there at corner too if a game is in hand.

Not sure how Bucs corners fared on middle field, but Bucs receivers dominated the Dolphins DBs in first period.

Video: Nice move by Jaelon Darden to get past Dolphins’ Noah Igbinoghene for a deep touchdown.

Nick Leverett working as the first-string left guard today, which is a big opportunity for him.

With Jensen seemingly out for most, if not all, of the season, Marpet's retirement really looms large on that OL.

Julio looked great apparently too. Which can be huge if he's even at 75 percent of what he was in his prime as WR 3/4

Do you still hoop?
Heh! Quit at 59 cause my only game was getting downcourt fast and stoping enemy fast breaks. Now over 75 with heart issues.
Finally got back to lifting after 2 year hiatus. Thanks Wuhan!

That's good man that you're lifting at that age. Health and prosperity to you

This guy just became billboard material:

Tom Brady is 45. There are some concerns about depth on the offensive made defensive lines. My model thinks the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the most overvalued team heading into the 2022 season.

I'm sold on Julio having a great year if injury free.

I wonder if Brady can do the same for Kyle Rudolph. Rudolph has all the tools and is young enough to be a top 10 TE again.

I'm going out on a limb and say that if Julio stays healthy, he'll be 90% of what he was.

Brady revitalized the career of Moss. Did the same for AB when he was on the field. And he'll do the same for Julio.

2 years ago, Julio was Julio when he was healthy. Last year, Julio was in a new system, got hurt, never got healthy, and was a shadow of his former self. So the question is about how much of last year was due to the injury and changes, and how much was about Julio declining.

My guess last year, and still my guess today, is that Julio can still play at a high level when healthy.

And you mentioned the Brady effect, which I buy. But I also buy into the Evans/Godwin/Gage effect, too. Jones should be facing much easier coverage this year. We saw that sort of thing when it was triple-threat (AB, Evans, Godwin) and Gronk. I expect we'll see it with the 4WRs, with the difference being a lesser ability to power run.

Keeping Julio snap count low shouldn’t be that hard even with them easing in Godwin first 6-8 weeks still got Grayson and Miller

Julio might be with Brady what we HOPED Ocho would.

Tom Brady showed the Dolphins what they're missing, dropping dimes in practice. But this Miami team could be one of the most explosive in the NFL, especially if Brady were under center. They're young and fast.
