Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

You didn't include any of the moves they made to address those holes - Signed Gage, traded for Mason, signed Logan Ryan. Gronk may still sign as well as Suh/JPP. Also the draft too addressed some of these holes.

Also the Saints have Winston coming off an ACL too.

Brown >Gage
Whitehead > Ryan
Gronk = Not signed
SUH/JPP = Not signed

I'm not seeing your point here.

And, yes, Winston's coming off of injury. That's been noted.

Kamara may be suspended for NO 1st game against Bucs.

Brady’s Bucs are 1-7 vs the Rams and Saints. They’re 28-3 against everyone else. That's crazy.

The Saints are only at about 8.5 win total this year in Vegas. That's a little lower than I expected. The Bucs are at 11.5. On paper, the Bucs are much better. In every aspect except head-to-head, the Bucs are better.

Undoubtedly, the Bucs will be favored against the Saints this year, probably by 7-10 at home and 3 on the road. This is just one of those weird things, kind of like how the Patriots would go into Miami as 14 point favorites, or go into Denver as 7 point favorites, and you understand that if they play that game 1000 times, it justifies the point spread, but there's some severe intangible issue whereby the point spread and objective odds do not account for the inexplicable edge that some teams seem to have over others. The Bucs are a better team than the Saints. If the Bucs play an average team, they're going to win that game about 80-85% of the time; the Saints will beat an average team 50-60% of the time. There's nothing you can point to specifically in the matchup which fully explains why the Bucs struggle so badly against the Saints, but they do. The pass rush is a factor, but other teams have great pass rushes. Coaching is a factor, but even without Sean Payton last year, the Saints shut them down (yes, injuries were a big factor too, but when the game started you could just see it again.)

It's only May.

Anyone know what happened to the meme thread?

Bucs lock down the dates for their preseason games — three straight Saturdays, Aug. 13 vs. Dolphins, Aug. 20 at Titans, Aug. 27 at Colts. They’ll have joint practices the first two weeks as well.

Some good quotes from @giseleofficial on the Brady family and marriage here:

Look Deus it’s pretty simple. I want Brady to win the Super Bowl and do it as easily and convincingly as possible and I will not allow pesky things like facts get in the way of that.

Some O/U on total wins from The Athletic.

Brady has hit the over on win totals in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2013 ,2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, and 2021.

Under in 2005, 2008 (injury), and 2009

Push in 2012 and 2018.

16-3-2

I’ve looked back recently at the 2009 pre season media predictions and most experts were REALLY bullish on the Pats to make a Super Bowl run.

Brady spent all of 4 weeks “retired” to be a full time family man and not only immediately backtracked and signed on to at least 11 more years of football but seems to have dumped the kids off on his wife. What a boss.
