Really happy with Jones considering the need. My preference would’ve been to trade for Jimmy G and take J. Phillips at #15, but all things considered this isn’t a bad night.

Phillips (if healthy) is going to be scary good, the Dolphins did well with that pick.

That aside, happy we have Mac.

To get a QB who, by wide consensus, is a clear first round talent, without having to give up picks to move up, is a big win. I wanted Jimmy G. a few hours ago but that was with the assumption it would take a lot of ammo to draft one of those guys. I still like the idea of Jimmy G coming back, but I doubt it happens now.

People will hind-sight draft picks, but this is a good pick no matter what. It’s worth the high potential reward. And if Jones isn’t going to be the guy, I’d have no problem with them taking best QB available next year too.

Surprised that darrisaw is still there. I thought he would go top 15.

No. You said to sell our asses on the street corner to move up and get one of the top QB prospects.

"They blew their future"

You lost. All those fanatical pick trading posts for nothing but desperation.

You lost.

Enjoy watching what BB does with the picks you wanted him to trade.

You lost this one so badly.

It must hurt.

No need to apologize. I understand.
I won I got the QB.
Thats what I wanted. You apparently toss and turn all night about conversations you have with anonymous strangers on a message board who forgot who you are 5 minutes later
Yes you have so much to be proud of.

Want to see Joker’s head explode?

Ray Lewis in a white suit joins Goondell on stage and announces duet rap style the ravens 27th pick
nah...I'd explode in JOY if Ray Ray slashed his way through that duet, though...the one constant tonight is just how uncomfortable the Goon makes everyone feel just by existing

The Jones pick being good or bad will depend on how the Jones v. Fields careers play out.

With Mac, we can run a similar offense that we had with Brady.

God, Vikings fans are such dorks.

Steelers go with a RB maybe? or maybe JOK

And you think that's better than the "Imma make a divot by throwing this ball deep into the turf!" offense run by Newton?
Or snapping the ball under center and running off tackle for 2 yards

Actually you lost. Even though you're right tonight Ring6 isn't wrong. He never has been.
I’ve been wrong plenty of times. No different than everyone else. In this case I was right that we had to get the QB and wrong that in order to we needed to trade up.
But I would still have traded up because you don’t live in hindsight and the risk of being shut out of the QBs was huge.

You are a strange dude. Jones was not in my top 4. He was 5th.
Im fine the way it worked out, we got lucky. I wouldn’t have taken the risk though because we couldn’t afford to come out without a qb.
agree, if he was our guy and we really need a QB it is not the time to play chicken. maybe nobody wanted to trade with us or they were asking too much.

I agree; this is an excellent pick. They did not have to give up any draft capital and did not get sucked into one of those radical trade-up robberies. And also note that Jones will be a lot more cap friendly than JimmyG. Great move (and some luck) by the Patriots not moving up. Whne SF foolishly took Lance, there was a glimmer of hope that Fields or Jones would fall to the Patriots....and their luck held.....

Now we have to get the boy into the weight room and off the cheetos

Najee Harris for steelers

Najee Harris to Pittsburgh?

Harris is a good fit for PIttsburgh
