The Pats have beaten maybe two teams better than them all season, so by that weird standard the Pats haven't proven much of anything either. They're better than 2 of the 3 teams the Pats lost to, and are about as good as a Blake Bortles-quarterbacked team can be.

They're definitely not all around trash -- they're basically a bunch of very good, well-coached players playing around the uncomfortable fact that their QB sucks and hoping he can pull a Flacco-esque super bowl run out of his ass.
