Patriots corner back Alfonzo Dennard signs autographs for fans at Training Camp
Boston Globe beat writer Ben Volin tweeted out an interesting take Sunday afternoon on Patriots corner back Alfonzo Dennard, who is facing DUI charges following his arrest earlier this month in Lincoln Nebraska.
According to Volin Dennard "had 1-2 beers" before falling asleep for approximately four hours, and then decided to go and visit his girlfriend. Police reportedly arrested him not long after he left his house.

That apparently poses the question about whether or not Dennard was being targeted by local authorities, which is an interesting theory and one that Volin felt was legitimate enough to post in a tweet:
Some belief that Lincoln (Neb.) police were targeting Dennard, who was previously arrested for assaulting an out-of-uniform police officer

Obviously at this point it's a curious notion, although Dennard did punch an out-of-uniform police officer during his previous run-in so it wouldn't necessarily be a surprise if some of the fellow officers still aren't happy with what transpired.
Dennard didn't have much to say recently when asked about his July 11th arrest, telling SI.com last week, "I'm not trying to talk about that right now," he said. "I'm just happy to be back on the field, a great opportunity."
