This is sure getting a lot of attention for something that won't happen.

Just because it is not openly talked about doesn't mean it is not happening. We are only talking about it now. The NFL is proposing to change the rules with a solution about it. Status Quo can't prevail. Are you positive, so much so, you would bet your car that there hasn't been an egregious case of a qualified minority being overlooked? I'll take that bet.

Archie Bunker didn’t think he was a bigot

I never said anything about positive you must have me mistaken for someone else. I said show me where it has happened before concluding it’s rampant.

Bunker was a fictional character on a television program...what he "thought" is meaningless in real world terms.

Are you claiming there are no "egregious" cases of qualified white candidates being overlooked? Qualified people get overlooked all the time. What's your point?

There are just two people of color among the principal owners of the NFL's 32 teams. They are Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan, who is Pakistani American, and Kim Pegula, who is Asian American and co-owns the Buffalo Bills. There are ZERO African American owners. Puffy Combs tried to buy the Panthers but was spurned for a white hedge fund millionaire, David Tepper. The NFL IS a plantation mentality business construct. Oh sure you can have all the black overseers you want and heap all kinds of accolades on their work...like Ozzie Newsome for example...but the obvious fact remains that this billionaire boys club is exclusively reserved for the caucasian centric moguls.

but the point is spot on

People using Archie Bunker as an example for anything, much like people in this thread using Good Times as their example of a television show with black people in it despite that show not having aired new episodes for the past THREE DECADES, have bigger issues regarding what's currently culturally relevant than the present state of diversity representation among NFL front offices.

Some type of program to create a pipeline for minorities to have an easier path into the league at the coaching level. After that the high positions need to be earned ... same as the players on the field. There are many disaster stories of people attaining the HC and GM positions before they were ready regardless of ethic origin.

The problem here is in the NCAA ... the NFL should create some type of partner program to get more minority hires in all the divisions ... a band aid approach is not the answer and is certainly no solution ... if you want to effect change then create programs to help more get a chance - get a start as opposed to a token hire that proves nothing and does nothing to help where the problem begins.

As for Archie Bunker ... those were the days.
Loved Archie Bunker and Sanford & Sons ... they covered some heavy material.

just don't bring up "Married With Children"...the board will collapse under the onslaught of moral cognoscenti

relax, buddy....don’t get triggered

So you're agreeing the last time we saw Cam, he sucked. Now all you have to do is acknowledge that probably has something to do with why he's unsigned.
Cam was injured and placed on IR by the team the last time we saw him. The last time we saw him healthy he had his second best passing year. Meanwhile Rivers got a job immediately having the worst season of his career,

if your benchmark is “I’m going to hold two games over a clearly injured player” that’s kind of ****ty way to make an assessment.
