Dont think that stops them from signing Kniles davis

Listen, I know he's not always played awesome but I think he has some natural talent as a runner and could do well here. If I'm not mistaken he has a cheap contract, doesn't he? My ideal trade would be like a 6th or 7th. Not talking big here.

I would rather see them double dip in the draft than go after guys who can't win real playing time elsewhere. I actually like the running backs that are supposed to be available in rounds 2-4 and think they could get a good first down back as well as a pounder if they want to. And there are a number of combinations I like among them. Overall I think Belichick has been systematically addressing the various units and to me RB is really the only one left where there is a need to bring in a starter. That's not too say they couldn't upgrade at other positions but more that RB is the one position where they would not have a real starter if the game were this Sunday. And I want Lewis to be used as part of a rotation, he will never hold up as a full time back.

It's not that he's "not always played awesome" but rather that he's always played extremely poorly.

Dobson would struggle to get on another team's practice squad, he has no trade value.

Players in his situation get traded all the time. Low value for low value player swap.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he went on to be a decent #2-3 or depth WR for another team.

So with the Knighton signing, who else can the team sign to improve the team. A running back comes to mind...I think the team will just address the O line in the draft.

I'm hoping Arian Foster would come cheap on a 1 year deal

Agree, also wouldn't' be surprised if we looked at another d-lineman or corner come the draft.

looks like they might skip the draft altogether ...

Needs on offense:

2 RB
1-2 OL (maybe even 3)
OWR
"S"WR insurance, if Amendola's going to get the axe

This was about Mike Williams :

Ben Volin
Heard the workout went well, in fact.
#Patriots are contemplating
If Williams workout went well that's a good sign because that means he did well in the fill room. However, it's Volin so this might be just BS.

I wonder if part of Scar's deal coming back involved giving him more control of choosing OL personnel via the draft or FA. Just a curiosity I have.

I hope they can keep DA. He has incredible hands and although he gets injured he has proven to be tough SOB. I really like having the guy as an additional security blanket for Brady. Hopefully they can work that out.

I'm mixed on the RB position. If Scar improves the O line does that make getting a RB secondary? It's the chicken or the egg question in my mind.

He pretty much was doing that retired.

Stork, Mason, Jackson and Andrews all had the Scar stamp of approval

Was that a stamp of approval for guys available no higher than the 4th round or was it guys he wanted in general. Will Bill let Scar get a guy in the 2nd round this year?

Anyways thanks for the feedback. Didn't know that Scar had input on those guys.

Let's not forget that Scarnecchia also continued to break down film with the OL during once a week Monday film sessions.

He's openly talked of this and was seen at Gillette many times over the past season.

Seriously, or is this an April Fool's joke? Fitzpatrick is still unsigned, right?

They did have very little cap space, but I didn't know it was THIS little.
