What good fs options are out there?

Not sure i want tyron smith or mike williams so might as well look to the defensive needs now.

What could have been here.
I'm starting to think that Porn is Judon's secret patsfan account. Every single player you want, we don't get. Lol

Not true, I wanted Stidham got him I wanted Thornton got him. i wanted Chad Jackson got him, I wanted Colvin got him, I wanted Gilmore got him, I wanted Gonzalez got him, I wanted Barmore got him. I wanted Danny Woodhead got him, I wanted Rodney Harrison got him.

I wanted Welker, Stallworth got them.

I wanted Mcginnest, Bledsoe, Katzmoyer,
Revis, Browner, Eugene Wilson

I could keep going.

We better stay Clear of Mike Williams with that failed physical designation. The injury was a while ago not good if he's still hobbling.

I don't think the Bengals can pay Both Higgins and Chase so Wolf should offer 34 For Higgins he's young and was our First Choice anyway let him grow with our Young QB.

Yea not into that one. Hes not a seperation guy either. Wish allen was the one they cut loose id gladly take him on a 2 year rental and we could still draft a prospect. Maybe hes still available for a mid rounder?

Kinda doubt it they might need him as a Proven Vet presence.

Don’t watch much of the rest of the league these days and that’s made it a hell of a time trying to rely on “journalists” and folks getting paid to cover this **** who mostly seem to lump safeties in one basket vs. recognizing the differentials in roles and responsibilities.

Anyways, Justin Simmons is a guy who is still out there. All-Pro recognition the last 3 years and still seems to have 2-3 good years left in the tank. If they don’t intend on adding a legit vet at outside CB, wouldn’t hurt to add a guy who can provide help for whoever is ultimately opposite Gonzo.

They could easily get Simmons and Armstead. And still have a ton of cap. Throw in Gilmore…

I don’t think they want to, though, judging by these last few days. I think they want to let the kids play. A lot.

I am delighted the way FA has gone.

I really did not want the drunken sailor spending spree for a limited FA class

I am fine with the slow rebuild instead of throwing big money at mediocre talent

Yeah that’s the vibe it seems elsewhere on the team too. The cupboard looks bare at FS molds in terms of numbers though, but suppose they’ll dabble with Bledsoe, maybe one of the current CBs, and…?

Gilmore is obviously not what he used to be but he was still a solid CB2 last year and would be a perfect mentor for Gonzo.

The point is that it isn't year one of a rebuild. The team has stunk for 3 years. We were all told there was going to be an aggressive mindset. There hasn't been. Apparently they made Ridley their number 1 - and seemingly only - target, and yet wouldn't actually part with the money to get him. They made three major needs going into free agency - QB, WR and OT - and they haven't come close to addressing either.

They are setting themselves - and crucially their new QB - up to fail next year. I'm starting to fear that they will just start Brissett all year. This isn't a team that inspire confidence or interest.

There's a difference between aggressive and stupid.

The Pats outbid Jax, supposedly. Titans outbid them. Ridley is being overpaid.

Wilkins got overpaid. Yet people are complaining that the Pats didn't get him.

Homers please remember Pop Douglas is a #3 WR at best.
People like you said Edelman would never amount to anything. So you'll forgive everyone for putting ZERO confidence in your opinion of what a player like Douglas can accomplish.

I wanted Ridley but not at that price, sucks but had to pass. There’s nobody on offense left I really want besides Smith the T. I know he has injury history but beggars can’t be choosers.

Hopefully they turn their attention of the defensive side now and target a S or CB.

Buckle in. This is at minimum a 2-3 year rebuild. Maybe in 2025 we will be competitive. If they draft well this year they can instill some hope and patience.

Yep, I’ve watched my team win 6 superbowls and lose 5. Watched 15 AFC championship games. 11-4 in those games. Yes, watching your team in the cellar sucks but no reason to give up hope they’ll be back in the future. It’s just our turn to rebuild and people here aren’t taking it well. I guess it’s tough cheering for an unprecedented franchise where the gold standard is Super Bowl or bust. I Blame BB and Brady for that.
