I do think Matthews could be a good fit here. Not big or anything, but he has a bit of size on him, and more importantly the type of agility that tends to work well here. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he turned into a thousand yard receiver here.

I'm good with the signing, but I'm still curious as to how the entire corps is going to play out.

I'm a bit surprised that we haven't heard something on Amendola yet.

There are multiple ways to win a Super Bowl. The Broncos went wild in FA 2 years ago and they won a Super Bowl with a corpse playing QB. So I really don't want to see the "I can't stand it!" mocking anymore. Elway's strategy worked. I want some nice FAs (or trades) this year and will be disappointed if we don't.

By that logic we should just throw away all defensive pieces and go full 2011 Patriots because you know "it worked".

That Broncos SB win might be one of the biggest flukes in the history of the NFL. More so than the Ravens 2012. They had no business being in the playoffs. Using this as a blueprint for anything is beyond stupid.

That defense kicked our ass. Only by the will of Brady where we even in the game. They literally carried their offense to a SB win. They dominated all their playoff games that Bronco D deserved the title.

That defense was legit. Nothing fluky about their playoff performances, but if you look back at their regular season..that team caught a lot of breaks.

With that, that defense already lost their second best player in FA (Malik Jackson) and their whole starting LB group.

They had a 2 year window to win, they did that, but now they're paying for all those big FA pickups last 2-3 years.

They had no solid infrastructure to measure balls during the game, either, and no knowledge of basic science, but that didn't stop them from making things up on the fly.
Exactly. The NFL thinks they need more control and governance over matters when they really don't.

That trickles down from Der Fuher.

True, but it's a vast improvement on his current bottom roster (or close to) salary, and would allow him the benefit of having financial security not only now, but for the rest of his life with a relatively small sample size.

If I'm NE, I don't offer him anything higher than about 8m--8.5m dollars a year at the moment. If he wants to ride out the rest of his UDFA pact for the next year or two that's fine too, but he'll absorb all of the risk that comes with that.
That's the pitch the team needs to make

I wouldn't mind getting Stevan Ridley back at vet minimum. The line is the much bigger issue, not even Peterson would have ran well in the AFCCG but it'd be nice to have a quality back if Ridley can bounce back.

I would like us to sign RG3 to a prove it deal right now to cover the first 4 games with Garoppolo and in that time maybe try and put some sheen on his image and then trade him in week 6 say to an injury needy team, or even the following off season. I don't see the harm in carrying 3 QBs this year.

Out of interest and sheer laziness. Who played in the OL in 2014/15 and who played in 2015/16. I want to know whether it was the Oline or Scarneccia retiring, and how much improvement him coming back would bring. I'm sure Cannon was alright in the superbowl season.

Our starting ol in 2014 was Solder, Connolly, Stork, Wendell, Vollmer

Last year afc championship was Vollmer, Kline, Stork, Mason, Cannon.

Injuries and lack of experience is what killed our OL last year.

Risard Matthews and Percy Harvin would be interesting

with lewis as the 3rd down back IMO Morris would be the best back to sign he is a true work horse RB

Morris has been getting worse every year, don't want anything to do with him.

The dearth of quality receivers in free agency is going to hurt us as average players are seeing their prices inflated. Talk is that Sanu and Matthews might get 5m+ a year. That seems a lot for players who have never had a 800+ receiving yard season. There is also the issue that we never know if these players will adapt to our system.

Can't see us paying them more than Edelman.

Would welcome a Rishard Matthews signing at a reasonable price. Nice size and reasonable speed, I think he could develop into a nice replacement for LaFell. 26 years old.

Don't get the hate on Bilal Powell. I didn't realize he was a free agent, I would take him! He really rounded out into a pretty complete RB last season. He can run it, he can catch it. I think he would pair well with Lewis.

Its time to trade for Floyd do it BB Arizona missed out on Pierre Paul but went after him.
A third and Floyd for Jones

Floyd fanboys are making me laugh. Right now I would be happy with a body on the left hand side, with a beating heart preferably.
