When you're scoring 14 points a game you're losing the Miami and Buffalo games and splitting the other 4 at best, 2-4.

Without Judon and Gonzalez though it could be a disaster.
Judon is a huge.. huge loss. However we can scheme up front to generate pressure.. the secondary is dessimated with Injury.. it may be back to the days we were giving up 400 yards passing.

I think if the Pats somehow pull it all together - Jack Jones and Jonathan Jones come back and fill in for Gonzalez, and Gonzalez comes back in around a month - Uche steps up to help fill the void of Judon, Flowers comes off PUP and helps out as well - either Mac or Zappe discover how to be an at least average QB - Stevenson rediscovers himself and the OL solidifies in the run game - Juju gets it together and Pop sees the field more - IF the Pats can accomplish all of the above, then I could see them beating the Saints, Raiders, Colts, Giants, Chargers, Steelers, Broncos and Jets. The Commanders, maybe. Bills, Dolphins and Chiefs probably not. In this scenario I'd say a 9-8 finish is possible.

If they only achieve some of the above, probably more like 7-10. If they stay as they are and don't realize much/any improvement, maybe only 4-13.

I’m almost rooting for this. Some will question my fandom blah blah, but I’m a business guy. Sometimes you have to intentionally let things burn down before you can rebuild them.

Top 5 pick in rds 1-3 could really be huge for team so devoid of talent.
Apparently, the top pick is still up in the air:
USC quarterback Caleb Williams is projected as the No. 1 overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft, but recent remarks from Williams and his father suggest he has not yet made the decision to leave Los Angeles after the season. "That's for sure now going to be an in-the-moment decision at the end of the year."

Did you not watch the game yesterday? They scored 3 points! Mac was lucky they only caught two INTS. He once again showed no pocket presence and was again strip sacked.

Zappe is not the answer either. Judon and Gonzalez are hurt. Stephenson is running like he has a piano on his back. JuJu can’t catch, etc.

They literally might not win another game.
That’s why they play the games.

Teams look at us as an automatic W. NO is coming off a loss they are looking at us as a get right game.
While we suck that is the definition of a trap game.

Who knew we would be on the other end of trap games......yet here we are...

I think White may get out in Judons spot.

Probably the most realistic take at this point, right here. Without any improvement, we're possibly as low as 2-15 or 3-14, but I don't think that will be the case. We looking at probably 7-10 because likely only a few of these will pan out.

I'm hoping Keion White flashes in Judon's absence. I also hope Boutte has been working sideline drills.

EDIT - There IS a chance at a winning record, and maybe even sneaking into the WC, since two of our losses so far are to the NFC. But that comes with much improved QB play. The odds of that?....eeeeee

not if Belichick is making the pick

I’d be for this. If we are 1-4, 1-5, sell off some assets for draft picks and see what the rest of the guys have via self-scouting. This is something we should have done in 2020.

The pats offense has arguably the worst WR duo in the NFL. Parker & Juju have combined for 36 targets 21 receptions 189 yards 0 TDs 2 INTs 49.4 passer rating. Their OL is mediocre with no RT & their best linemen in Onwenu has regressed from last year. Stevenson is averaging 2.7 YPC. With Judon & Gonzalez out the pats don't have one probowl caliber player on the entire roster. They are 28th in the NFL with a -42 point differential.

They are one of the bad teams.

On the one hand, we only lost to Philly and Miami by one possession so maybe this Dallas 35 point drubbing is overblown. But on the other hand, both Philly and Miami had ample opportunity to turn into double digit point drubbings if some mistakes Mac got away with went the other way.

27 teams in the NFL don't have a WR named Justin Jefferson, Stefon Diggs, Tyreke Hill, Deebo Samuel, or Davante Adams. QB play is so important in making your WRs better. Look at random names like Puka Nacua and Nico Collins doing well. A top 10 WR isn't going to fix Mac's decision making.

We have a good chance of going 3-3 next 6 games and we may get to 8 or 9 wins for the yeae which is what I thought preseason.
