1. If Miami then loses to the Ravens, they will be 6-7 coming into the game with us and with little hope of a playoff spot. Several teams will be 8-5 or 7-6 at that point.
   
2. If the Jets win, it increases the odds of them winning a handful of games at the end of the season and keeping Rex and company.
3. It pushes the Jets farther down in the draft, as mentioned here many times.
   
4. Let the Jets think they have an offense, and deflate the Miami defense, prior to playing us.
