He’s playing like ass
He's playing uneven. Some good some bad. Which you should hope for more out of him.

The real sad issue is that he's far from the only or biggest problem with the team. We still don't have consistency at WR, we still don't have an offensive line that can keep a QB upright consistently. We have decent RB's but the line lets them down a lot and so does predictable play calling. On defense we finally have a decent run stop but our secondary clearly took a step back and we still suck with containing any speed and also have been giving receivers huge cushions to make catches and get yards after. They also for whatever reason tend to just fold and roll over at points during the game. The special teams has not been up to usual standards.

Then there is the coaching, which unfortunately isn't working out right now.

There's a lot wrong with this team and no reason to think Mac's absence will be a good or bad thing because whoever is in that spot is kinda screwed.

after next week we have a string of 5-6 very winnable games. I was hoping to be 7-3/6-4
Sure, but this was a very winnable game. The Ravens aren't as good as we thought. We are just a lot worse than many thought we would be this year

The line has played well the last two games, and coaching is what it is lackluster. Either way, no excuses for the horrible decisions he’s making. Defenders don’t even need to make a play on the ball, he’s giving it right to them not even making them work for it. And he’s at least two easy ints that were dropped between this game and last week. He’s played like ass

Yeah tell me this in a few weeks after you’ve had a few games of Hoyer

So as long as he throws at least .6 TDs and less than 1.7 interceptions per game we’ll call it a win?

We may as well just run a wildcat offense

I don't think the world of Baltimore, but they are easily tougher than any team we play in that stretch after Green bay. Pretty confident our defense will keep us in those games, just a matter of how anemic is the offense going to be under Hoyer

His ints are ridiculous , defenders aren’t even having to make nice plays, he’s literally throwing it right to them.
Crazy thing is, you take out those three plays and he had a great stat line.

It just seems like when he makes a bad play, it’s really really bad.

I have to disagree with that. The interception in the endzone was a big gaff on his part but you have to still can't ignore that the defender absolutely pantsed our receiver on the route and basicaly turned our own guy into a CB while he ran the intended route ahead of him. The last interception also was partially on the line completely collapsing in an end of game desperation throw anyways. The first interception was all on Mac. The problem is there's a lot of issues that compound. Yeah some interceptions were dropped. That happens to every QB. There's always a luck factor. Mahomes was throwing interceptions all last week that were dropped.

The problem is beyond Mac still being green we have multiple screw ups on plays. It's easy to think the QB is the big problem and fixing that solves everything. Unfortunately that's not realistically what is happening here.

Ravens are #1 in scoring. They scored with ease. But I agree with the last sentence.

If it turns out Mac doesn't even have a sprain, you have to wonder if he's just a big drama queen. X-rays after Wk 1 for the back, nothing. X-rays after Wk 3 for the ankle, nothing. Crying off the field like his foot was amputated. Is he taking over Big Ben's gig? Jesus.

I'm concerned about his jersey sales (he was top 10).

I wish Mac the best, looked painful and hope he bounces back.

As far as his on the field play and the team with him at the helm, he’s mediocre bottom third of starting QBs. This teams success weighs heavily on finding a top tier starting QB and building around them, not sure Mac is that guy

He’s a **** ****

Can’t help but think about how truly tough TB12 was that you NEVER saw him barely even wince with what were likely worse injuries.

Mac looking kind of tender TBH.

Tough game, and everything is playing out in a very predictable way based upon Preseason.

Really the most frustrating thing has been how it now appears that the mega free agency spend year was an EPIC failure.

Might be time to tear it down to build back up with a new coach.

Not because BB can’t coach (he 100% still can), but because his personnel decisions both with players and coaches are becoming massive liabilities.

He had a negative X-ray and is getting an MRI tomorrow for potential ligament damage. We absolutely don’t know that he doesn’t even have a sprain. But I sure hope that’s the case.
He’s shown good toughness so far in his career. We don’t know how badly it hurt today. Chill

Could the Int have played a part in his reaction? I also feel he is not as hurt as his reaction was. Time will tell, but his crying in this game is becoming too much. I have seen players with their leg broken with bone sticking out not reacting like this. All I am saying is that, he can't cry like that and this not being a serious injury. The MRI is what is needed, probably some tearing of soft tissues that hurts as much as bone breaking. Will give him benefit of doubt here.

Get well soon Mac!
I am not giving up on Mac just yet.
He looked pretty good last year. Under a new system this year with new coaches.
As far as him showing pain.
I sprained my ankle once and heard a crunch. I was in so much pain I thought I was going to pass out.
Hopefully he comes back soon and starts to jel with this Offense and shuts up alot of you whiners.
He has played 20 NFL games. Give the kid some slack

Can we please root for our quarterback to be ok?
It feels like some people are hoping for him to be hurt just to justify his reaction to the pain.
Personally, I’d much rather see him have a shot to turn his season around. And see us have a better chance to win games during the middle of the season rather than play with Hoyer.

Josh McDaniels should be available this offseason...
