That's interesting, but he's way out of the Pats range anyway. Scary if the Fins got him.
I expect him to go between 10-17 or so, he is well within our trade range if we want him. I've heard divided opinions on him as an OLB but that size for the strong side is very interesting.

Based on the Orange Bowl against Iowa, he can play OLB. His Combine times support that assessment.

Although there is NO chance of this happening, I would be fine with trading our #1 and #2 (2c) to get up to get Morgan to play SOLB, using 2a to get our choice of pass rushing OLB (Sapp, Hughes, etc, whichever you like) and 2b to get a RDE, Carrington or Wooton.

We would be done until Round 4 but we'd have our SOLB, another pass rusher to go with TBC on the other side - and you can always get more snaps for a pass rusher on passing downs - and a developmental guy with upside across from Warren. With our young secondary we would suddenly be very young and talented on defense.

If that's the case then I don't see how he passes by Miami.

Would be so good if the Pats were that aggressive on defense. I'd completely support that. But like you said, no chance of happening.

Unlike Box, I don't think he can play OLB. I think he's a DE only, as those stiff hips stand out a mile on tape.

Fearsome pass rusher, and excellent against the run - but not a 3-4 OLB in my very humble opinion.

Right now I have him going to Jacksonville at 10. They still have an anemic pass rush and their 4-3 scheme should mean he can start from Day 1.

Anyone have any more info or a scouting report on Lewis?

It seems as if the Patriots are looking at the bigger cornerbacks this year? I wonder if they will be playing more press coverage this season.

Lewis projects to FS in the Pro's.....

Is there a significant increase in the amount of these visits this year?

BB at Vanderbilt seems a bit unusual.

Am I imaging this aspect?
If there are more visits, then why?

So far it seems pretty consistent with last year.

The first question should be. Will Bill actually draft one? I don't think it's about size, but rather talent. There aren't any quick & fast smurfs this year. (both Arenas and Syd'quan are really slow.) The 5-11/6-0 guys are all there is to choose from.
