Cottam will be working out for the Detroit Lions in three weeks while the New England Patriots have displayed a lot of interest in the king sized prospect.
Cottam looking to impress scouts GoVolsXtraA potentially devastating blocker and EZ target I'd welcome to the roster:

I'm sensing he's a serious Pats prospect.
Anybody think that the visits from the potential NT's could just be act to invite a trade considering how many teams will be in the market for 3-4 noses this year? At the very least you got to figure they get a little scouting out of it. Teams I figure that are in the market for NT's SD, KC, Buff, Mia, Pit, and Washington. Not to mention others that would probably like some depth and 4-3 teams that would like a space eater.
Former JMU defensive end Arthur Moats worked out for the Patriots last week and will visit the Bills, Eagles and 49ers in the next 2 weeks.

If they were trying to entice a trade, they'd have put a huge amount of interest into on player, rather than several (and it is several, I think the list is now 8 pure NT prospects).
I'm hoping the Tebow stuff is all a sham, really.
The three Penn players named in the article, and the one other school player from Villanova identified are all defense...Scouts from the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers, Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers were in attendance as were several agents and NFL assistant coaches, including New England Patriots wide receivers coach Chad O'Shea.
Jackson was a second team All-American and invited to the Cactus Bowl, now he gets a personal look from Chad'O...The other players who auditioned were linebacker Jake Lewko (6-1, 240) and defensive tackle Joe Goniprow (6-1, 270) of Penn; linebacker Osayi Osunde (6-1, 245) of Villanova; wide receiver Al Jackson (6-6, 230) of California University of Pennsylvania; and linebacker Matt Cohen (6-1, 230), defensive tackle B.J. Benning (6-0, 285), and fullback Anthony Fossati (6-1, 235) of Lehigh.

See EDIT above...Intriguing. I looked up O'Shea's biography, he's only ever coached WR/TE/Special Teams.

Which comp picks essentially are in the 7th...Interesting interview, at first he comes across as a touch egotistical, but then you read further and he seems a pretty stand up guy. He knows what his weaknesses are on the field as well.
I'd definitely be interested as a priority UDFA.

Wrong 81...but the Vincent Jackson similarity was appealing.Guess what I've found.....
YouTube - AJ Jackson #8 2009 Highlights
A video summary of his 2009 season
Check out the one handed grab at about 0.44. Shows some very nice blocking after that, and then shows some wheels at about the 2.00 mark. Beautiful move at about the 5.21 mark.
There's a few things that stand out from that video:
1. The offensive play-caller really knows how to utilise his best weapon - plenty of 13 yard outs, 7 yard incuts, hitches, curls.
2. He's a brave guy. Made plenty of catches over the middle and got abused.
3. Very consistent in traffic. Got to love the concentration and the hands.
4. Terrific physical specimen, doesn't look hugely fast, but he was always open even after being jammed at the LOS. His hands are magnificent. I really am wary about saying this, but he does remind you of a certain #81 with the way he bullies the DB's. Obviously they're D2 DB's and not the likes of Revis, but very impressive all the same.
I'd take him in the 5th round just off the back of that, let alone the 7th.
A source also told Scout.com that Randolph has received interest from the Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles; no workouts or visits have been scheduled with any of those teams.
