The game plan clearly was to call many deep routes. You game plan plays not where the ball goes. They wanted to stress the defend deep. Problem is that KC left man coverage so the read was the deep ball and Brady overplayed his hand.
It's happened before (gb 2002 is stuck in my memory and the playoff game with Houston was the same thing last year)
Making the right read vs recognizing that he is throwing way to many deep balls and being duped into it are 2 different things. Brady doesn't make mistakes often, but he does.
This was a bad mental game by Brady not a bad physical one. And that is fine because Brady is by far the mental GOAT.

Yeah I don't know. It'll be fun watching the all 22 this weekend.

But I do know it takes more than 1 week and a bad game to judge a player, but I mean, keep posting like an entitled masshole, apparently glad that you think one of our players isn't great...

Breer commented that KC def coord coached under Rex Ryan and implemented a Ryan like defense... We saw that d give brady fits in NY but in buffalo not so much... Couple a D scheme that usually gives brady trouble with a lack of receiving options on offense and you have Gronkowski getting 2 catches and 560 bombs to no one....

I don't think Brady played like a 40 year old rather a QB who didn't completely trust his receivers yet. They did put up 27. Amendola got hurt and they brought the pressure. I think KC's pressure was key to disrupting Brady with Edelman out for the season and Amendola out of the game. They tried to use Hogan in the slot I believe but it wasn't working.

Further Brady is a game film studying freak. The coaching staff as well. This game was without any true film to go on. etc .... etc....

Anyways it was just a sloppy game and KC outmanned them.

The first 3 or 4 games truly are like playing checkers while the rest of the season becomes more of a chess match.

And we also failed to convert two 4th and 1. If gronk and cooks catch those balls and he gets 2 tds instead of Gilleslie running it in we would be talking about how great he was tonight

Before the mods delete my post again because they seem to love deleting any posts/topics bashing the Patriots, even though they played like complete ASS, and deserve all the criticism they're getting now I'll have to say this:

I don't care about the previous years. This team got carved up by Alex Freaking Smith for almost 400 yards at their home stadium. That is completely unacceptable. Now imagine next week when the Patriots go against Drew Brees. Do you know what that guy is going to do this defense? He will absolutely destroy them. Look for him to having 450-500 yards if we see the same the garbage that we saw today.

This defense is the worst I have seen from NE as a fan for a while, and that's saying something. This reminds me more of 2008 if anything. This team will go 11-5, and one and done if their defense doesn't change. They will not be able to handle playoff contending teams.

This is really embarrassing. How the hell do you get blown to smithereens by letting the freaking Chiefs score 40+ off you at your home park? When's the last time that's happened? Hell I don't remember the Patriots giving 40 points in ONE game last year. They're 1-1 already in that category this year.

That Oline is going to hate the next meeting. BB gave them a chance to go man to man and they lost. I have a feeling some DL dude in a NO helmet is going to get pancaked next week. haha
