I'm more worried about Hightower and 'Dola right now than the loss. We need both of them next week, obviously Danny will be out. We need some leadership on D. Here's to hoping Dorsett can pick the offense up fast.
I do wonder who is the main voice on that defense. I would think it would be McCourty or Hightower, but both of them seem pretty mellow.

Brady isn't the problem. He was fine. Not great but ok. They put up 27 points. Dola got hurt. etc.. etc...
The game plan sucked and KCs defensive game plan was great.
Anytime you throw 20 bombs in a game it's a game plan malfunction.

Not worried. I thought they would have a hard time tonight but figure it out later in the game. Obviously that didn't happen.

This is going to be an extended preseason type of year. I still think this team gets the #1 seed but it will be tough sailing for the first quarter of the year and maybe the first half of it.

Give it time and it will get worked out i believe.

It will get fixed. It always does a d it won't take long.

Im worried about Brady tbh, it starts with him on offense and we've seen him do alot more with less talent (2006,2013) so no excuses on his part (Cooks, Gronk, and the HBs) and this game looked like 1st half Brady against Atlanta, and why load up on RBs and running more? anyone notice that? cause he's 40? less stress on his arm? But if he's playing another 5 yrs why bother? Obviously Im all in for our RB core but why now is it a focal point? Are they covering something? Why have Brady throw the ball less? And yes I am starting to get nervous that Brady could be in the decline not saying he is but the 1st half against Atlanta and this game tonight aren't the norm for Brady and are un Brady like

Some games are just...so bad so weird and everything is going wrong to the point that I don't even think it really can be considered. Unless we see a repeat performance I'm going to chalk this up to just one of those aberrations that we've seen.

Glad we got our loss out of the way now rather than week 17, fully-expect to see a different team take the field next game and if we see similar issues then I'll start worrying about a 2009ish or 2005ish type year.

But for me this is a bury the ****ing ball type of game.

Are you like 12 years old ?

On one hand, sure, if early season games were a reliable bellwether for the eventual Super Bowl champion, then most winners would look very different. I remember in 2007 after week 3 a Giants fan friend complaining the Giants had no playmakers and couldn't stop anybody. In 2014, the Patriots were 2-2 after week 4, having had no answer for Knowshon Moreno as the Dolphins came from behind to beat them in week 1 and the Chiefs crushing them in week 4 after two unconvincing wins against bad Vikings and Raiders teams. The cautionary tales are endless.

On the other hand, Brady played like a 40 year old, the playcalling was atrocious, injuries are already piling up, and the defense is slow and full of bad players and rookies.

I don't think Brady played like a 40 year old rather a QB who didn't completely trust his receivers yet. They did put up 27. Amendola got hurt and they brought the pressure. I think KC's pressure was key to disrupting Brady with Edelman out for the season and Amendola out of the game. They tried to use Hogan in the slot I believe but it wasn't working.

Further Brady is a game film studying freak. The coaching staff as well. This game was without any true film to go on. etc .... etc....

Anyways it was just a sloppy game and KC outmanned them.

The first 3 or 4 games truly are like playing checkers while the rest of the season becomes more of a chess match.

Brady was in mid preseason form tonight. He missed a lot of reads. The last player on this roster you have to worry about is Tom Brady. Worry about 3 90 yard TD's in one game...THAT cannot be tolerated

Ton of injuries on both sides of the ball.. and we decided not to qb sneak it on two fourth and ones. (91 percent succes rate) It happens. Sometimes we deserve to lose. This was one of those times. It happens.
McDaniels no doubt thinking "KC knows how well Brad's signature sneak works... so let's fake em out!"

Wtf are you talking about?

Sure but I think that was a consequence of many variables. Of course that wasn't the game plan.

No film to study on KC. Brady loves studying film as well as the rest of the coaching staff.

I don't think Brady fully trusted his receivers etc......

KC started dialing up the pressure. Brady doesn't have Edelman and Amendola got hurt which sucked. I did see White open on an out once and Brady chose to throw a bomb to Hogan or Cooks. Couldn't see if White was covered or not because of the screen angle.

Anyways a lot of things to fix but I suspect most of it is communication and responsibilities.

The game plan clearly was to call many deep routes. You game plan plays not where the ball goes. They wanted to stress the defend deep. Problem is that KC left man coverage so the read was the deep ball and Brady overplayed his hand.
It's happened before (gb 2002 is stuck in my memory and the playoff game with Houston was the same thing last year)
Making the right read vs recognizing that he is throwing way to many deep balls and being duped into it are 2 different things. Brady doesn't make mistakes often, but he does.
This was a bad mental game by Brady not a bad physical one. And that is fine because Brady is by far the mental GOAT.

Too many new guys right now. they'll need some time, we'll be OK.

WR and pass rush are the biggest worries right now. If Dola is out longterm look for BB to make a deal.

Even Gronk couldn't get open today. He needs to stop eating avocado and restart eating pu...err puppies.
