Speak of the Jete.

@JetFan79, get your application ready.

I caught a few passes back in HS. Makes me almost as experienced as what's left of the Jets receiving corps.

Getting the 1st draft pick is gonna be easier than I thought. I expect Williams, Wilk, Sheldon, Powell (basically anyone established) to have "neck injuries" as well throughout the season.

Don't think Darnold isn't paying attention. He hasn't said it but I get the feeling he will either a)return to school if the jets hold the first pick or b)pull an Eli during the draft to force a trade.

putting and rookie QB on a dogsh*t team is still just a dogsh*t team. Great way to ruin a young QB and still be the Jets

I'm not really worried about any individual guy at the moment. He's just been the flashy name. There are supposedly 3 or 4 top notch QBs coming out in 2018.

So much can change over the season, so no sense stressing one guy in particular.

Whatever the decision is, I have faith in the Jets ability to screw it up.

Now I get it...the Jete have been planning all along....Ryan had it wrong, it's not the "THREE YEAR PLAN!"...it's the ...

FIFTY YEAR PLAN!

So, Enunwa falls during a 7-on-7 drill and suffers a season-ending neck injury. It's probably legit and would be too bad if it threatened Enunwa's career. Putting on an extra large tinfoil hat, though:

The Jets are in tank mode this season. Besides getting the top draft pick, could they also be setting up to get their current top receiver back at a reasonable price? They have Enunwa sit out the year with a phantom "injury." That way, he's available for 2018 without risking a legitimate injury during this lost season. As a benefit to the Jets, Enunwa will be a RFA at the end of the year. There will be a lot less interest in a player coming off a season-ending injury than if Enunwa led the team in receiving again. There's less of a chance that some team will come in with a big offer that the Jets will have to match or lose the player.

You're too smart to be a Pats fan.

Better yet (for him), neck injury forces him to retire.

I don't wish injury on any player, but Mr Enunwa isn't much to write home about as a human being:

On Monday at Jets’ camp, Christian Hackenberg was having trouble just breaking the huddle correctly. During one rep in seven-on-seven drills, as he approached the line of scrimmage, a coach ordered him to re-huddle. When he broke the huddle again—in the wrong fashion for a second time—he was ordered off the field. No one expects the Jets to contend this season, but at some point, they will have to decide whether Hackenberg is the answer at quarterback, a decision that could affect their 2018 draft plans and their franchise for years to come. So for now, all eyes are on him. The next time Hackenberg took the field, he broke the huddle correctly and threaded a pass about 20 yards downfield for a completion. That kind of resilience will serve him well, if he wants to be the Jets’ long-term quarterback answer.

Wow -- even the Jete webmaster sucks!
