exactly, thats what makes Brady the GOAT. The GOAT QB debate used to have 2 camps. The winning camp championed Montana, the stats camp championed Marino.

Brady has both.

He is the GOAT at winning as a QB (>.750 winning %, most postseason wins, 11 AFCCG appearances, 7 SB appearances, 5 rings).

He also has the stats:

4th all time in yards (61582)
4th all time in TD (456)
3rd all time in passer rating (97.3)
4th all time in completions (5244)

@JetFan79

I think Brady is the GOAT, but I frankly don't care if someone wants to consider Montana or Elway as the GOAT (I certainly think Elway would be a huge homer pick, though,)

I don't think you can be the GOAT without a bunch of iconic moments and those iconic moments are often in the postseason. You don't read a lot of NFL lore decades later about winning regular season MVPs. It isn't Manning's "only two rings," it's his lack of heroics despite having as many opportunities as any other QB not named Brady. What exactly do you think of when you look back at Manning? Coming out of the regular season finale after achieving his end goal of exactly 4,500 yards? Winning SB MVP with the lowest QB rating to win the award in NFL history? Being absolutely carried by his defense in both SB runs (after years of excuses that the defense was garbage)? Regular season records? Maybe some egghead will make statistical arguments that Manning was the GOAT. Fine. No sports star in any major sport will be considered the greatest without a legendary series of stories. That's where Montana, Elway, etc enter the discussion and won't get the type of strong reaction that you'll see when someone brings up Manning. Too many huge failures to count and so few actual heroics under pressure when it counted. This is one reason it hits a nerve here.

Like I said to Tune, I don't think a 2 win season necessarily means Bowles is fired. No one can expect this team to do well now.

If Bowles can develop the young players (oline, LBs, DBs...) and enter 2018 with a solid team only lacking a few key pieces to be filled via the draft and $90mil... I think he'll be back in 2018.

Now if he scrapes together enough wins to ruin our draft pick with a useless veteran at QB, then I'll be the first to kick him to the curb.

Maccagnan seems to have removed any chance of winning though. I mean he gave away all of our veteran leadership and some of our best players. He's making sure Bowles can't win.

Bowles' moves are crap and I hope he stays in NJ forever. He's Rich Kotite II.

One thing he changed is that the Jete no longer have teams tanking against them in order to get them as an opponent in the playoffs. The Jete suck too much for that to happen.

I really, really don't want to get into the goat conversation again. All I said is that Peyton is arguably the goat, and I made sure to point out I don't think that's the case.

After playing ****zpatrick the last two years, Bowles gets no love from me. Other than he seems like a cool guy.

If he gets fired I won't care. I'm only saying that based on the moves made this offseason, I think they pretty much already know what 2018 hold for Bowles. It's not like they can expect him to win this year.

The Jete clearly quit on Bowles last season. He's like a babysitter who can't control the kids he's being paid to watch.

As for the Jete losing, it's what we expect every year. It goes with the suckage.

Other than a once in a lifetime 6th round pick, in the existence of the Pats, any evidence otherwise?
The onus is on you to prove the Pats will suck with a different quarterback. You can't. We've already seen the Pats win 11 games with Matt Cassel and two games with Jimmy G with some off season prep, and beating Texas with Brissette and one week's prep.

There's another thread floating around with my thoughts on the subject.
You should spare us the mental image of your floaters, but I'm betting they're green.

You're nuts. Baltimore is your best argument there and it took a historically good defense combined with an average QB.

KC hasn't been better than the Jets early Sanchez years. And what good has it done for em?

Denver? Peyton is arguably the goat. Old or not, he was a football genius. (I don't think he's the goat, but there's an argument to be made.)

Seattle? Are you kidding? Please give me Wilson.
Eli has 2 rings and is mediocre.
Peyton manning was probably the worst QB in the NFL in 2015. You don't win because of what a guy once was. And there is no argument at all by the way. Not even close to one.

Chiefs are 43-21 since smith became their starter and made the playoffs 3 times and won. 2 playoff games. In that time the jets were 27-37 and did not make the playoffs.

Wilson is ok but the point is they built a team that proves you don't need a great QB to win.

How do you prove a team lost purposely? A bad roster? Impossible. Instead look for any team that drafted an early QB.
This is nonsensical.

Agreed. But why would anyone think giving crappy players experience would help? My guess is you're trying to say everyone on the Jets is "crappy", but I'm trying to give you some credit of not being a fool.
Yes the jets have many crappy players. They are far, far more than a QB away from
8-8.

You should spare us the mental image of your floaters, but I'm betting they're green.

Especially when I Juice. If you've never tried it, I highly recommend it. 10 days, no solid foods. Only juicing fruits n vegetables.

Produces some very green "results".

stick your ****in' head in the juicer next time...I guarantee WE'LL enjoy it. You won't miss anything, the Jete will still continue to suck...same as it ever was.

The Jetes are cleaning house again.

I wonder how many years it will take for Hackenburg to have 8 wins as a starter. I think the over/under is 2.5.

Just in time for their next 5 year plan.
