No, he escaped.
He was being held to ransom, I thought.

Let's hope so. Seven or eight wins would be just what the doctor ordered.
That's bloody hilarious, I need to start listening to that show.In a recent The Ringer NFL Show podcast with Mike Lombardi (ep. 107), Mike takes a great shot at Geno Smith. Mike's co-host says that NYG draftee QB Davis Webb can "learn under Eli Manning, learn under Geno Smith" which sent Lombardi on a riff. "Learn under Geno Smith? Are you sure you don't want to edit that you? What's he going to learn under Geno Smith? I told you that when we worked out Geno Smith he couldn't even remember to bring any footballs to the workout."
Thing is, the Jetes suck at sucking. 5-11 or better insures what they got this year, a draft pick not good enough to get a transformational player and not good enough to get a haul of picks so they can fill many holes (and lord knows the Jetes line-up has plenty of holes to fill).Wilkerson guarantees Jets will improve on 5-11
This is the point where your boiling anger turns to a sad pity. You can't wish this type of hopelessness on anyone, right?
What's the over-under on Blowes still being the coach a year from now? He's at best a seat warmer, the Rich Kotite of his era. The media noise is going to get him fired sooner rather than later, because that's how the Jetes roll. The Rats are once again ahead of the curve in their perpetual search for the perfect 3 Year Plan. They plan to draft nothing but corners the next two years and implement their radical "ONE DL/ONE LB" defense. Coach Bowels is bent on out moroning Rex the Infantile Idiot even if it kills him.

Hey slam.. i dont think your episode number is right. 107 was ages ago and i couldnt find it in 207. I love lombardi and would love to hear this ( and use it to torture a jets fan of mine that likes geno and lombardi.) I looked for it for 15 min or so. It its quite possible you are right and i am just a dunce. But can you double check the episode number and repost. Thanks
Maybe they have different numbering schemes? It's on this link at 24:30.
That is why — despite the fact a laundry list of injuries has limited him to just 47 games in his five NFL seasons — you should not be surprised when you listen to Claiborne speak of how good he can be as a Jet as he embarks on a new chapter to his life.
“I feel like I can be the No. 1 corner in this league if I’m healthy … when I’m healthy,’’ Claiborne told The Post after his first OTA practice as a Jet earlier this week. “When I’m out there playing and I’m healthy and I’m on my game, I don’t feel like there is anybody better than me.’’
Yep, he's the ideal combination of false confidence and immanent disaster. He's perfect for the Jetes! The Jets find yet another perfect mindset for their system, Morris Claiborne.
