Jets Have Informed Gase He'll Be Fired After Sunday's Game

What's really amazing is trying to pass off Brady and Bill's accomplishments as McDaniels'

If you took out his Pats years he's probably in the top 11 zero times in everything and his average ranking would be 20 something at best.
I’m sorry was someone else the OC?
These are real actual results of the offense he ran.
only on this board can people consider fact to be “passed off” and their opinion of assigned credit to be law.

I thought Lawrence already said he was staying in school?
Nope. He’s coming out in the draft. That’s great news because it’ll help settle the “to tank” or “not to tank” argument. The Jets played to win. They didn’t want to create a “culture of losing,” I guess. The Jags clearly tanked the game against the Bears and will be in position to draft Lawrence, a QB who carried the “generational talent” perception. Who is better one year, three years, five years out will settle that debate once and for all.

Now imagine if they bring Gase in as a QB coach and also trade for Darnold lol

There are too many variables in competitive sports for any single item to be resolved once and for all by one example.

It looks more appealing than the 2020 version of Jared fisch and Cam Newton.
2021 is already looking up.
No it doesn’t. They were worse.

Nobody has been worse than Cant Newton.
The jets offense has.
last in passing last in total
Yards last in points last in first downs.
Yet the idiot brigade wants to hire the genius and trade for the ghost seeer.

Duh.
If you want McDaniels numbers, here are some.
In 15 years as a hc or oc in scoring he has been
Top 4 8 times
Top 8 11 times
And his averaging ranking is top 10
In yards he has been
Top 7 8 times
Top 11 10 times
And his average ranking is 11

in w/l % he has been
Top 4 8 times
Top 6 11 time
Average ranking 8

Amazing you could have these 2 coaches mixed up

It's the same thing. Gase was OC when Denver and Manning scored the most points ever. McDaniels rode Brady's coat tails for years. Yet 3 separate times without Brady he's been pathetic. Denver went 5-17 and fired. St Louis worst, last, 32nd ranked offense that scored 12 points a game. This year absolutely horrid. McDaniels has been trash 3 straight times without Brady.

McDaniels has a very long record of success. Gase does not. McDaniel was not 5-17 in Denver, he was 8-8 in his first year.

Josh McDaniels went 5-17 in his last 22 games before being fired and having the entire Denver fanbase hate the guy. He traded up to use a 1st round pick for Tim Tebow. Also traded for Laurence Maroney to Denver, the same bust RB he pushed for over Patriot scout objections. Deja vu the last couple years with NKeal Harry and Sony bust picks, and the total whiffs on drafting. The same guy. It really shows how Brady was everything, McDaniels literally is a house of cards without Brady.

Yeah you are wrong.

Yeah you are wrong.

Straight facts. Keep being in denial. This offense keeps getting worse and worse with the guy. He's been here 8 years and nobody developed. The wheels fell off when Brady, Gronk, Edelman all left or got hurt.

Don't include me in that brigade please, because I don't want Googly anywhere NEAR Foxborough.

Sure. Tanking for a supposed generational talent vs winning your way out of that pick for the “culture” is an argument that won’t be settled by comparing the Jags to the Jets 1/3/5 years out. Excellent call. Especially when it’s a QB. By far the most important position on the field.

You should be happy for the Jets, though. They did not embrace your culture of losing. So, therefore, they should be better off for it as early as next season. Their offensive output should be better than Jacksonville’s. Because, after all, the Jags cursed their culture by obviously tanking for one guy, amirite?

Uh...but...er...Jets. It's the J-E-T-E...."should" NEVER enters into any equation involving the green scum/slime

You cannot ignore 80% of a guys career and write it off to being carried. That’s ignorant.

So if Lawrence gets injured, the jags make terrible draft picks and free agent signings, hire a bad coach and do not win anything for 5 years it settles the argument for tanking?
The jets aren’t an example of anything other than incompetence.
But go on thinking that both of their futures are now in stone because tanking decides everything and no other variable matters.

The jags stink, they didn’t lose because they yanked they lost because they are terrible.

I literally have never seen hatred before or after like Denver had for McDaniels. I lived in Philly for 12-years and attended many an Eagles game.
