Membou's gotten a big uptick after his combine performance, but he's a RT. We need a LT. The positions are not interchangeable. Notwithstanding Campbell's numbers, look at his performance over the past three years against top SEC defenders, the ones who make it in the NFL
I would punt on watching the Patriots until 2026 if this were the draft. The perfect mock draft doesn’t exi
I'm hoping for Stanley but Membou would be a really good bookend no matter who it is.
Just a reminder to everyone of just how good a prospect Membou is:
And Membou is 20lbs heavier than the other three.
He's only 20. There's a pretty decent chance he ends up one of the best 3 players in this draft.I'm sold. At this rate we might have to trade up for Membou
I agree. I'm all in for Membou at 4. Especially if we miss out on Stanley. He's only 20. There's a pretty decent chance he ends up one of the best 3 players in this draft.
I just don't have the appetite for another RT to LT conversion project. Why didnt Mizzou try him at LT if it was so easy to switch him over? Its not like they had a star at LT.I agree. I'm all in for Membou at 4. Especially if we miss out on Stanley.
Even if by some miracle we get Stanley, I still want Membou to be our RT for a couple of years as he cross trains for LT.
Edit: looking at the board there ain't many on this train yet. Just gotta wait for more mocks showing Membou as OT1 and we'll see more people hopping on.
You're comparing it to the Wallace conversion. Wallace was 24 when drafted. The clay is a bit dry at that point. Membou is 20, way more malleable. Wallace's athleticism was mediocre to subpar for a LT prospect. Membou's is off the charts, doing things that only Trent Williams and Tristan Wirfs could do at that size.I just don't have the appetite for another RT to LT conversion project. Why didnt Mizzou try him at LT if it was so easy to switch him over? Its not like they had a star at LT.
My preference in descending order if we are in the situation OP posits:
Mason Graham
Tyler Warren
TMac
Kelvin Banks
Membou
Will Campbell
Stanley and Membou would be coup. And I love the idea of him having time to learn LT without it being forced.I agree. I'm all in for Membou at 4. Especially if we miss out on Stanley.

10 million a year for backup LT. i dont think we are that well stocked in other positions to expend 25 million for stanley and draft pick 4 and 10 million a year on membou.Stanley and Membou would be coup. And I love the idea of him having time to learn LT without it being forced.
Stanley, Strange, Andrews, Onwenwu, Membou looks pretty good to me. Wallace, Strange and Lowe offer some versatility to back up other spots and we can add another piece to the interior somewhere else if they feel the need.
10 mil for a starting right tackle that appears to be a riser in the draft. If you don't like him as a prospect that's fine but cash and being an RT shouldn't be the problem he seems better than many other options I've seen to help the OL.10 million a year for backup LT. i dont think we are that well stocked in other positions to expend 25 million for stanley and draft pick 4 and 10 million a year on membou.
I thought membou was touted as understudy to Stanley for LT. If we are looking at him as RT, it's an interesting option. But is he that good to pick up at 4 or 6 or should we go with warrant who is touted to be a generational player.10 mil for a starting right tackle that appears to be a riser in the draft. There are other options I'm interested in at other positions too but Stanley and Membou seems intriguing to me.
And it's looking increasingly likely that left side issue will be dealt with in FA.
I honestly don't know the answer to this part. He seems to be getting some hype lately and rising. I'm just trying to stay stubborn to our biggest need and it seems like a creative option.I thought membou was touted as understudy to Stanley for LT.
