Membou's gotten a big uptick after his combine performance, but he's a RT. We need a LT. The positions are not interchangeable. Notwithstanding Campbell's numbers, look at his performance over the past three years against top SEC defenders, the ones who make it in the NFL

Membou’s only 20, and really athletic. He could make the move to LT.

I was on Team Graham for some time after Abdul Carter starting to get some #1 talk or not being available at #4.

Now after some people saying his measurements were not top notch in the combine plus this being a good draft for DT, I was kind of like, OK get Campbell, reach for him so be it, we need.

Now after watching some tape on Tyler Warren I just don't think the Pats can pass on a talent like this. I know it would be some reach as well according to mock drafts (he can go from #7 to #17) but you deal with the cards you have, if they could trade down a little it would be ideal but I honestly don't think there is a market and I'm not sure its worth the risk. If they get him at #4 I'm celebrating I don't care what the consensus say.

Theres a lot of value since he's a formidable athlete and there's a need at receiving. OK, sometimes we fix too much in the position, WR, WR, WR but this guy can move the chains in a lot of ways , so in the end the goal is to move the chains. The only thing he doesn't have is the deep threat since he is a TE even though I see some bombs in his tape. He would also open a lot of things for our receivers because he is dominant. I know in theory TE is not a need but it will be soon and a dominant TE is just a game changer in the game in these days, more than WR in some cases.

I'm hoping for Stanley but Membou would be a really good bookend no matter who it is.

Just a reminder to everyone of just how good a prospect Membou is:

And Membou is 20lbs heavier than the other three.

I'm sold. At this rate we might have to trade up for Membou

He's only 20. There's a pretty decent chance he ends up one of the best 3 players in this draft.
I agree. I'm all in for Membou at 4. Especially if we miss out on Stanley.

Even if by some miracle we get Stanley, I still want Membou to be our RT for a couple of years as he cross trains for LT.

Edit: looking at the board there ain't many on this train yet. Just gotta wait for more mocks showing Membou as OT1 and we'll see more people hopping on.

I still think we are going to easily be able to trade down if Carter and Hunter aren't there. And I still really like Tet

If we do trade down, the idea of going after Tyler Warren is warming up to me a lot. With H.Henry, maybe one more addition, could we go heavy into some 2 TE action like the good assassin-jock duo? I know he is not much of Hernandez archetype, but it got me wondering

Also leaning towards getting all the second/third tier OLs we can find, plus some lower draft picks for Oline. Or trade for an actual starter, the lineman market looks worse than the us stock up until yesterday

Anyone but Will Campbell. Drafting a guard that isn’t John Hannah at 4th overall is asinine.

Get ready for last place for years if we draft Will Campbell

I just don't have the appetite for another RT to LT conversion project. Why didnt Mizzou try him at LT if it was so easy to switch him over? Its not like they had a star at LT.

My preference in descending order if we are in the situation OP posits:
Mason Graham
Tyler Warren
TMac
Kelvin Banks
Membou
Will Campbell

You're comparing it to the Wallace conversion. Wallace was 24 when drafted. The clay is a bit dry at that point. Membou is 20, way more malleable. Wallace's athleticism was mediocre to subpar for a LT prospect. Membou's is off the charts, doing things that only Trent Williams and Tristan Wirfs could do at that size.

Not all conversions are alike. This guy is special.

Stanley and Membou would be coup. And I love the idea of him having time to learn LT without it being forced.

Stanley, Strange, Andrews, Onwenwu, Membou looks pretty good to me. Wallace, Strange and Lowe offer some versatility to back up other spots and we can add another piece to the interior somewhere else if they feel the need.

10 million a year for backup LT. i dont think we are that well stocked in other positions to expend 25 million for stanley and draft pick 4 and 10 million a year on membou.

10 mil for a starting right tackle that appears to be a riser in the draft. If you don't like him as a prospect that's fine but cash and being an RT shouldn't be the problem he seems better than many other options I've seen to help the OL.

There are other options I'm interested in at other positions too but Stanley and Membou seems intriguing to me.

I thought membou was touted as understudy to Stanley for LT. If we are looking at him as RT, it's an interesting option. But is he that good to pick up at 4 or 6 or should we go with warrant who is touted to be a generational player.

And it's looking increasingly likely that left side issue will be dealt with in FA.

If they can sign Stanley and draft Membou they would have a pretty good OL for next season.

I honestly don't know the answer to this part. He seems to be getting some hype lately and rising. I'm just trying to stay stubborn to our biggest need and it seems like a creative option.
