How Can the Pats Stop the Ravens?

Everyone knows it will be Pat's vs Ravens in January, and our super bowl berth depends on beating them....

Everyone knows it will be the Broncos coming to Foxboro for the 2012 AFCCG.

Everyone knows it will be Patriots vs. Broncos in the AFCCG 2014.

Everyone knows it will be the Chiefs who come to Gilette on divisional weekend in 2017.

Maybe you and others did...I certainly didn't

Sure you were the one expecting the Titans to win in Arrowhead and the Colts against Denver. Of course you did.

No, I didn't know what was going to happen in those years...last year everyone knew it was going to be NE vs KC and they were right. Same feeling this year with Baltimore

Hey I knew the titans would win that playoff game in arrowhead

The Ravens TOP stats are just insane.

I still think you can get after their defense though.

Seems that a common sentiment is that if the Ravens get behind in a game, they are going to abandon the run and panic, putting Jackson in shotgun and trying to throw their way back into the game. This may be true in the final minutes trailing by more than a score, but beyond that there’s no way Roman is dumb enough to bite on this obvious wishful thinking. The Ravens will only abandon the QB option/heavy run game if it isn’t going to work for whatever reason. They pickup so many chunk plays and big gainers out of the run that going to a pass first option makes no sense.

Bart Scott made a great point the other day on the radio. As long as Lamar is holding that ball out as if he might hand it off, the end as to stand there. That’s a huge advantage for B’more

The end should have one job. Hit the qb. The other 10 guys can stop the Rb. If the end crashes on the QB he has no time to escape if he keeps it and will get pounded immediately after handing off. Remember they don’t block the man they option off.

What Ravens are doing is basically the same offense as the 49'ers of 2011-2013, before they got figured out and went downhill big time in '14.

The only type of QB to stand the test of time is a pocket passer.
I don’t give a s#it about “the test of time”. It isn’t particularly useful to NE or NE fans to know that within 3 years the Ravens offense will be figured out.

I care about *this* year.

They don't need a year, all they have to do is go back and look at those 49ers games.

2001 Rams
2004 Colts

Both unstoppable offenses, both teams BB saw in the regular season, both combined for a total of 20 points the second time around.

I wonder how that happened?

Crazy that most of the country will have to go to a sports bar to watch the most compelling game of the year, SF vs Balt, at 1 pm.

Sitting in close confines near Eagle, Giant, JEST, Pitt, GB, Fish fans at my Local Buffalo Wild Wings.... who knows what kind of rash and illness I will be subjected to.

I’m gonna douse myself in Purell and stand near an open window.

I really got shafted. Im in the Pittsburgh area and somehow getting rams at cards as the fox game (2 west coast teams, nothing to do with this area ) instead of sf-Baltimore. We get alot of Baltimore games here too, really weird.

You can not stop him period. Look at this video, it will shake you to the core.

If houdini played football, this is how it would have been like.

would leave us extremely vulnerable against misdirection

This is sarcasm ... right?
