Dez?
The Patriots do not have a problem for which Dez is the solution.

Well, his last back injury was blowing a previously “good” disc, not a previously-injured one. So it’s not like he’s proven any “career-ending injury?” worriers wrong in that regard. As surprised as I am that he’s still playing now, they all said the same exact thing during the last back injury, too.
The odds of him never playing again obviously increase with each injury to the back, but we’ve heard the career ending chatter before, that’s all I’m saying. It’s tough to gauge how serious this one is. We just don’t have any idea.Well, his last back injury was blowing a previously “good” disc, not a previously-injured one. I believe that he was hobbled for a spell during the game, and he also went up and informed Belichick of something as they were walking away from the sidelines to end the game. It may/may not be related, but I remember thinking that it seemed odd.Did he injure it vs KC or during practice?
Was only a question of time until Team Gronk had to leak something.
ESPN/Schefter reporting that he’ll definitely miss today, which most of us had already assumed. The good news is that they’re saying he’s expected to return for the MNF game at Buffalo in 8 days.

That is the ideal scenario. Unfortunately, there are injuries to manage.Pats need gronkowski to play every f"cking game, this team has no margin for error if we're looking for home field.....this team gets smoked at kc

In the bigger picture of things, I’m fine with him missing through the bye if that’s what he needs to do to get right. However, we don’t know if that would even solve the issue at hand. His home town and divisional game, he won’t miss that. I’m fine with him sitting out this week
I think you can take that to the bank. I echoed that opinion many times throughout this past offseason. I think they’re pretty much a package duo at this point.I have a feeling he will hang it up with Brady eventually.

Absolutely .. I've said it and posted it here as well. Their contracts are in line with each other, both will hang it up together.
