What if the Pats sign Chris Clemons (DE from Seattle) and Chris Clemons (SS from Miami) this offseason? I wonder if they would take a two for one package deal. Sign one Chris Clemons at full market value and get the second Chris Clemons for free.

I only want both Clemons if we sign Arthur Jones, trade for Jason McCourty and sign both of the other Gronk Brothers.

Starting Defense:

McCourty/Clemons
McCourty/Ryan/Arrington/Dennard
Mayo
Clemons/Jones/Jones/Jones

:rocker: (obv sarcasm)

We could specify each Clemons (SS) and Clemons (DE).

Much better than the current Wilson (Tavon), and Wilson (Adrian) crap I get sick of typing.

sign both of the other Gronk Brothers.

I just had an image of all 3 taking dumps on the sideline at the same time, just to "do it."

That's about the last thing we need here--all 3 Gronk brothers.

They'd be smashing watermelons over each other's heads in practice, wrestling wild animals, shotgunning beers, etc--it'd be a regular frat house.

Source: The San Francisco 49ers will indeed cut CB Carlos Rogers allowing him to test the market.

Add another CB.

Agreed - good player, but a poor fit. Definitely don't want him. Spikes walking finally gets us away from the problem of having too many big LBs who can't operate well in space. Woodley would bring that issue right back to the forefront.
Huh? Woodley is not on off the line LB. He's basically a DE.

He's also been trending down for a few years, and there are questions about his work ethic.

There are certainly questions about his work ethic, as I hear them on talk radio here in Pittsburgh all of the time.

I think he's talented, but not for the kind of money someone will likely give him.

Also, I question his fit--as others have mentioned, although I don't know enough about the specifics, unfortunately.

Sort of. I think a better way to phrase it would be that he has no readily apparent position in a 4-3.

Patriots actually cut four players today: DL Cory Grissom, RB Sam McGuffie, WR TJ Moe and LB Taylor Reed

Some people are gonna be upset.

Nah, he's a straight up DE in a 4-3. If he came here he'd play they exact same position as Ninkovich.

The #Panthers are attempting to trade WR Steve Smith, per source. Given his $7M cap number and age (34), seems unlikely.

0 interest, just interesting. Even if he's straight up cut, he seems like a ****ty teammate, not someone I want here.

Jets will instantly sign 2 of the four.
Grissom and Mcguffie has me shaking my head. Cutting two white smurfs better mean Julian Is back.

Someone's going to reply to this and tell you why it's not feasible to pull this combination of moves off.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Panthers are "attempting to trade" Steve Smith.

Adam Schefter ?@AdamSchefter 5m
Dolphins released CB Dimitri Patterson, per source.

A few more.

So Michael Bennett signs with the Seahawks for 4 years at just over 7/year, but Everson Griffen gets 8.5/year with the Vikings? Wait, what?

Must be the weed laws in Washington...

He took that discount he promised he wouldn't.

Schefter said two teams offered Bennet more money but he wanted to stay in Seattle .

Really wish Talib "wanted to stay here" lol
