On Wednesday evening, NFL Network revealed the top ten players in the NFL as voted by their peers in the annual top 100 players ranking show.

New England Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore was revealed as the ninth best player in the NFL following his dominant 2019 season that saw him named Defensive Player of the Year, a first in Patriots history, and was selected to the Pro Bowl for the third time in his career and second straight in New England.

Gilmore latest ranking is a jump of 13 spots as he was selected as the 22nd best player prior to the 2019 season.

In 17 games played in 2019, regular and postseason, Gilmore logged 55 tackles, six interceptions (two returned for a touchdown) and 20 passes breakups. Gilmore also led the NFL interceptions during the regular season.

Check out his video profile from the NFL Network special courtesy of the Patriots Twitter account below.

No other Patriots made the top 100 list, but according to CLNS Media’s Evan Lazar, Julian Edelman just missed the cut and came in at number 101.
