On Friday, quarterback Cam Newton tweeted out a photo of himself arriving at Gillette Stadium for the first time as testing of players begins before the start of training camp.
According to CBS Boston, the camp schedule goes as followed, physicals and equipment distribution will come first “from Aug. 1-2, with an acclimation period from Aug. 3-11. After a gradual ramp-up period from Aug. 12-16, players will finally engage in contact drills starting Aug. 17.”
With fans unable to attend this summer due to coronavirus safety measures, social media posts like the one below will come in handy following and tracking players during camp.
“What’s popping?” Newton wrote in his trademark font as he entered into the Gillette Stadium parking lot.

By now it’s no secret Newton comes into Foxborough highly motivated to return to his old MVP form.
Earlier this week, Newton shared a message for his “haters” as he looks to win the Patriots starting quarterback job and begin his comeback.
The former 2015 NFL MVP has been highly active over social media since signing with the Patriots, sharing numerous hype and workout videos with Patriots receivers.
With training camp expected to ramp up following testing next week, the new quarterback battle is officially underway.
