Obviously you haven't done your research if you want to draft another RB for the Titans. This team has plently of needs, how about a WR, or some help on defense. Chris Johnson is a good player, just not a need for the Titans. Just because someone runs a 4.24 doesn't mean he is the next Devin Hester. Look at Bethel Johnson. In the 2nd round you need a guy who can step in and play, you want to draft someone just to return kicks and punts. Your too caught up on the Devin Hester thing, he's a once in 20 years return man. Face it you blew the pick!
Dude, I've done my homework. You might want to start following free agency a bit because you'd know that the Titans have added in areas already. LIKE WR where they added McCareins. They also signed Justin Gage to a long term deal to be the #2 opposite Roydell Williams.
WR:
Justin Gage, Roydell Williams, Chris Davis, Justin McCareins, Brandon Jones, Michael Williams, Paul Williams.
Defense:
Already picked up Harvey. They are solid in their top 3 right now and this year isn't great for LBs. I didn't care for the CBs available and wasn't about to reach. I know that YOU think its a smart move to reach a round or two for a player, but I don't.
As I said, do some homework, which you CLEARLY haven't.
Johnson, btw, is an damn good route runner. The same wasn't said of Bethel Johnson. Again, do your homework.
Henry will be White's back-up, but Johnson will be the 3rd down back.
BTW, just because they've taken 2 RBs in the 2nd round in the previous two years doesn't mean a damn thing when you see that they only have 2 RBs on the team since they've lost Travis Henry and Chris Brown in consecutive years.
No one is talking about giving up on Henry, but you need to face facts. He's already been suspended for 4 games for drugs. That's TWO failed drug tests from the time he was drafted until training camp was over. Another failed test and he's gone for a year.
Henry was LOUSY on kick returns, forcing Michael Griffin into the job. Chris Davis wasn't used but twice on kick returns and he was worse than Davis. Henry isn't used on punt returns and Davis isn't nearly as dynamic as Pacman Jones was there.
OH, btw, you don't have to tell me that Johnson running a 4.24 doesn't mean he'll be the next Devin Hester. I understand that. But he's already shown great return ability in college. Henry never showed that in college.
Chris Johnson WOULD come in and PLAY immediately for the Titans. On Kick returns. As a gunner on Punt Coverage. As a return threat. As the 3rd down back.
Instead of being a jackass, why don't you go do some homework on Chris Henry. You'll find out a LOT of things. Like the fact that he's a horrible route runner, while Johnson is excellent. Henry isn't great in pass protection either. Johnson is actually very good in pass protection and blitz pick-up.
Sorry, but you've failed miserably in your attempt to say that Johnson is a bad pick. HENRY was the bad pick last year. I'm correcting that mistake.
