Deshaun Watson accused of sexual assault in lawsuit

has anyone checked on our pal, Stumpleton? This news must be ripping his guts apart, no?

This thread has been pretty quiet since the lawyer came out and said Watson did have sex with these women but it was all consensual....

wheres all the "theres no way watson could've done this" defenders?

Wonder what changed in the lawyers defense. we've gone from "he didnt know these women" to "well he had sex with them but they asked for it!"

Yeah, but it doesn't exactly work that way in a court of law. They are going to have to show up at some point (if this goes all the way, which I doubt it will)
yeah, i agree. i don't think hardin and watson want to go to trial and have these women crying in front of a jury.

Watson has now moved to the defense that 22 women have accused him of sexual abuse and their stories are true, except he knows they wanted it and they are lying about that part. He is cooked.

I don’t see him playing football this year.

It’s not looking good.
His bigger concern may end up being Houston going after his pay and signing bonus. This was happening before he signed the extension.
And of course the possibility of jail time because there is a claim of forcible oral sex.
It just doesn’t seem like a great defense in a he said she said criminal trial to say 22 accusers all lied.

A new version of "All 22."

Sorry everyone.

This guy is garbage, and I don't see any way to defend him or give him the benefit of the doubt. As he has already stated, he gets a massage every other day, like many other athletes. This is a professional endeavor in order to maintain his body. Massage therapists are professionals offering services.

Why has he not been able to stick with one or two professionals for these services? We know the answer. He is essentially asking them to become prostitutes, exchanging money for sexual acts. Finding them on Instagram based on their looks. Having no intention of using any of them long-term but just looking to hookup. And clearly they have feared for their careers and reputations if they deny him. This is sexual misconduct regardless of whether or not it's sexual assault.

It's not hard to find actual escorts, especially when you have the resources he has. I'm sure finding some women to hookup with is also a lot easier for a ultra rich, good looking, famous quarterback who basically owns the city of Houston. Instead, he's praying on women who are put in a no-win situation, and he's well aware of what this power play does to them.

He deserves what's coming to him, and hopefully it will be severe. I'm definitely open to hearing other accounts of this, but it seems the facts are pretty indisputable. Hardin acknowledging that sexual relations did take place changes the entire equation, and it's a laughable way he presented it, essentially equating massage therapists to Tinder hookup girls. Hooking up and having sex during a massage, with reputable therapists (not rub n tugs) isn't normal at all, and being alone and being coerced into sexual acts is likely an overwhelming fear that many female masseuses have. No different than a casting couch.

It went quiet the minute the first victim was willing to put her name on the record and make a statement.

The dude let himself get well out in front of the facts so he could get clicks.

Glad he got fired.

There should be more repercussions for all the nonsense we see media people spew.

I think it all comes down to "Her body, her choice".

In this case his particular kink was to find women who did not choose to be sex workers and use all his powers to make them become sex workers.

He's going to at least get the Rapistburger suspension now, presumably worse.

He better start paying off the victims and praying he doesn't get a rape conviction.

That'll make him more than just toxic, that'll make him an untouchable, like Kaepernick.

The conscious and unconscious fears of the NFL owners will totally get triggered by having the label rapist attached to a Black player.

Probably worse than rapistberger. He had 2 accusations. Watson has 22. And some of the texts from the 18 defending him are damning

Come on. The label rapist isn’t any better or worse based upon the guys race

I would agree except the strong suspicion there were way more Roethlisberger incidents than the ones that went public.

The variable, of course, is good ol' Roj.

Tyreek Hill gets off after breaking his kid's arm and threatening his partner, why?

My guess is he got some inside backlash after the Kareem Hunt situation, and Hill was too high profile and valuable to the league to take out of the picture. If it was a replacement level player on another team, he would have gotten a big suspension.

Watson is also a high profile asset and the league won't want to take him out of the picture. The HOU ownership will be calling in all the chips they can get their hands on, presuming they don't go old school and cut him to the wind.

Like I said, it will at least be the Rapistburger suspension, presumably more, but one never knows where things land after all the internal monkey business plays out.

Right about now, Watson should be practicing his tearful "I have sinned" speech in front of a mirror.
