Deandre Hopkins Visiting Patriots Next Week

If this IS true and that something close to that price, then I'm ALL in.

It would be a bonus if half that money is guaranteed, but even if it's all guaranteed it would be a very decent market price for a WR of his experience and quality. And I love the time frame. One top 15 season and one top 30 season and gone Perfect.

BUUUUUTTTT..... just read the comments to CJ's post, and to put it mildly, not a lot of love, "lying for likes" was one of the more moderate replies.

This dude is a joke.
He is too legit to quit.

Hopkins is a Patriot.

Regina is very good but you have to try Umbertos on Hanover. They're legendary, used to have lines down the street, around the corner. Seriously though best pizza I've ever had. Regina, Santarpios etc all good but you have to try Umbertos.

Just asked my daughter about the place... She's home until the end of next week when she returns to BC.... She taught science & math at Saint John's middle school there as part of her studies, and she agrees with you... She also says they're reasonably priced, which helps when you're a student teacher on a budget...

You are correct - It was Derrick Mason. He is the poster child of why you shouldn't let your wife get involved in your business decisions. This also explains why Bill wasn't too fond of him telling him to "shut the **** up Derrick" on the sidelines during a game against the Ravens. I'm guessing Bill thought Derrick was coming to NE.
I remember that play too!

I don't remember Rob Konrad like Captain said, but Jason Taylor turned down the Pats in 2009 to return to the Dolphins.
What was even more reprehensible happened the following offseason when he signed with the ****ing Jete of all teams, whose scummy fans had insulted him mercilessly for not signing with them in '09... Could've used him here too, the ****ing *******.

Richie Anderson was torn between the two Bill's during the 2003 offseason. In the end, he made the wrong decision and wanted to stay loyal to Parcells and signed with the Cowboys. The Pats not only beat the Cowboys that year, but went on to win the Super Bowl in 2003 and 2004.

Anderson would've been nice, because all we had at FB that year was Patrick Pass (whom I never liked) & the corpse of Larry Centers.

I came hoping for news.

Good God! I thought I loved the Patriots, but I have never ejaculated from a SB win much less hoping for news.

Ha!

I had to read your post like three times before I got it. The first two were "the fekk is he talking about?".

We'll see whether you owe him an apology or not.
Hop and Jones are close friends and Pac-Man said he doesn’t leave NE without signing a contract.
Jones?

Fred McCrary was there too, but I don't remember how much he played. Centers was alright.

I didn't care for Pass either with him being forced into playing FB.

I went to St John's. Grew up in ctown but wentvto school there 1-8.
Yup $2 a slice. They have great rice balls, arancinis, calzones. When they sell out, they sell out. Ralphie runs the joint

Smart girl with culture. Good job!

I worked on Hanover St when I was younger.
Umberto's was only open till they sold out. Usually around 2:00 pm. Lines from 11:00-2:00
Umberto's had great Square(Sicilian) pizza and Arancini"s
Best square pizza by just a tad is Leone's in Somerville
But the Arancini's were the best

Pac-Man Jones.

But THAT is how the Pats negotiate. How many Pats FA's are told by the team, "go out and find your best deal. Come back and we'll either match it or not. Either way you get a good deal and we're happy for you."

The Pats usually have their best deal in mind BEFORE a player comes to Gillette. They'll change a term or two, like adding more incentive money or agree to a no trade clause, or not something like that.

The TOP of the market for FA's has already been established. I doubt Hop is going to get more than OBJ per year, but if he does, it won't be by much. The only way he gets more is if he signs a multi-year deal, which I think he will. OBJ IS coming off a serious injury.

Put me down for a 3 year 45MM deal with $20-25MM Guaranteed, and it will be structured that all the guaranteed money will be done in the first 2 years. My hope would be that Hopkins can still be a top 15-20 WR this year and a top 30 in the second.
Ken there's a difference between how you approach your own free agents and those from other teams.
What you describe is NOT how the Pats have handled most fa's from other teams in my experience.

Yup famous for their own hours. NE is great..
