Dallas Clark out indefinitely due to injury

It doesn't really bother me because I believe we'll beat the Jets in match up 2 this season, we'll beat the Chargers, we'll beat the Colts and we'll beat the Vikings, even if they are all at their best.

This "I want to beat full stenght teams" BS is RIDICULOUS. No team is at full-strength, injuries are part of the game. So is depth. Injuries aren't an excuse unless your losing half your roster or your QB.

This is sad news I want to beat teams at the best not without star players

Normally I'd agree, but I say screw it. Nobody felt sorry for the Pats when they were defeated with Cassel under center, or without Welker last playoffs, or without Colvin and Morris in SB 42, or without Rodney in 05, 06, and 08. Everybody just says "Sucks to be you" and treat their teams' wins over the Pats the same way they would if the Pats had played at 100% health.

The Pats weren't going to get the Colts at 100% anyway with both their strong safeties done for the year. Clark is just another casualty. I don't feel bad because it's not something he won't be able to bounce back from, and nobody sympathizes for the Pats in a similar situation. Call me petty if you want but it's that absolute truth. A win against the Colts would count all the same.

good news, hopefully that pink forehead goon is next.

We play 16 games ... 18 or 19 to get to the Super Bowl.

In the end it almost always seems that 2 of the 4 best teams are there.

Who you play and who was injured balances out over the season.

Did the colts feel bad for us when they turned up the heat or turned down the cooling in their building and we became exhausted and lost.

Please ... anyone having sympathy for them should be banned as a Patriot fan.

OK. Who's got the Bill Polian voodoo doll. Prick him in the arse and we'll who drops next.

Julian Edelman has a concussion and won't be available for who knows how long. Same goes for Fred Taylor and his turf toe. Woah is us!

It also wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if the same Colts fans who cheered Bernard Pollard as a hero for ending Tom Brady's season a couple years back, got a taste of their own medicine and found out what a season without their meal ticket at quarterback was like. I'm not Bill Polian and going to shout "Break his ******* leg" like he did to Doug Flutie five years ago, but if Peanut Head suffered a similar fate, I wouldn't shed a tear over it.

No Ed Reed

No V jack this week

Maybe No Clark when we play Indy

Belichick must be going to Church this year

Same thing I am thinking, we can take out two of the best offenses if this is the case.

This is pro level ball, and the Patriots have to play when missing guys, too. I never root for injury. However, if a player is already injured, I'm happy if the timing means that a good player is out for a game against my favorite pro teams.

Indeed. I'm not going to miss any sleep if that royal PITA Clark is out of the line-up. I hope he gets better soon because I don't wish bad injuries on anybody, but I can't deny that it will be nice not having to worry about him abusing our corners, safeties, and LB's.

Also: Ty Warren, Leigh Bodden, Logan Mankins, Kevin Faulk, Julian Edelman, and Randy Moss. All current players that we went into training camp with expecting to see time. All are either out for the year, in the midst of a contract dispute that doesn't appear to be ending any time soon, have missed significant time due to nagging injuries, or have been traded. When it comes to injuries, the playing field is always equal.

Belickick and the other coaches of the teams we face this year.
No Bodden, no McGowan, no Ty Warren, no Kevin Faulk(, no Torry Holt?:confused2...

Right, no need to feel sad as PATs have lost several starters.
Any break PATs gets helps as their inexperienced players on defense
go though their learning curve.

So.... looking back on 2007, you're happier with a Patriots loss than you'd have been if the Patriots had won and Manning hadn't played due to a sprained ankle?

He means that we would rather beat the Colts with Clark then without...

Hopefully no Floyd this week either and Rice doesn't return for the Vikings next week.

And no Darrell Revis for entire second half with a 14-10 lead in week 2, still very, very pissed we lost that game. No Calvin Pace or Santonio Holmes in that game either. Too bad Moss made his highlight catch then decided to call it a day.

Who gives a crap? You don't get an extra win for beating a team at full strength (which no one is ever at). Whatever gives our team the best chance to win is what I want. I don't root for people to get hurt but I'm not going to lie and say I don't get giddy when I hear of big injuries to rival teams as it just makes our chances better.

I am in complete agreement, on all counts.

I wish nothing but the worst for the Colts. Bad karma from their tossing games at the end of the year. If there were any justice then the NFL would schedule their last game in NE on the last week of the year. Let them try and toss that when something may be on the line.

Amen, Doctor.

F the Clots.
F the Irsays, F Bill "break his f#&king leg" NaPolian, F the Mannings, F their hayseed fanboys.
F them all to Hell.

Wow! The Colts are really falling apart. I wonder if they will have enough guys to field a team by the time they play the Pats or will they start playing players on both sides of the ball?

Seriously, it sucks to see any players seriously injured. Hopefully, Clark will have a speedy recovery... and play like crap against the Pats at 100%.

Neither would I.

After all the injuries this franchise has suffered the past 5-1/2 years, beginning with Tedy's stroke, I have absolutely no sympathy whatsoever for any physical distress suffered by franchises I despise. The injury score isn't even close to being tied yet, not until that horse-faced goober has his knee blown apart, at least.

I understand that was his ultimate wish. My question is a bit more practical, since wins are certainly not guaranteed against top squads at full strength. I'll take a win over a depleted team over a loss to a team at full strength.

I was asking him his take on that, vis-a-vis that 2007 Super Bowl.

I want to win first and foremost. However I would rather play a team at full strength with out own team being at it's best. This can not always happen it's a violent sport players get injured players hold out. I wish it was a perfect world I wish in sb42 we had a full strength team to play the giants at full strength we don't always get our wish. I would rather the colts be at 100% and we beat them then they can't have an excuse for a loss I want to win every game we play I know that means we can only beat what is in front of us but there is not as much satisfaction in beating every team while they are depleted in strength. I understand we are too we have a huge hole at corner Manning will no doubt try and make us pay at the RCB.

I want to see the best players on each team play for the best possible game and for the pats to win those games.

I don't wish injury on any player but...it's about time the Colts lose a key player or two.
