I don’t think anyone is doing that. I think they’re just expecting big names to be held to the same laws the everyday Joes and Jills are. That’s a reasonable expectation. It’s the laws which are unreasonable, in this case.

I agree that many like yourself are taking principled (or political) positions; but there is an obvious correlation of disappointment with the decision with a negative predisposition towards the team's prospects.

Haven’t read through this thread, but people are way overreacting to this. I work at an airport, this happens all the time. People with carry permits forget there’s a firearm in their bag and get busted at security. stupid and irresponsible, yes and absolutely. TSA deals with it, the court may get involved…usually it’s a forfeiture of the firearms and a fine. Radio personalities trying to make it sound like he was purposely trying to carry them onto the aircraft. i Mean, I guess he could be that stupid, but I’m more willing to bet he’s like others (and it happens a lot) that he was careless and forgot.

90's, but no, I had to travel, then get home for a day and right back out on the road. So I had 3 travel bags prepared - 2 small and one larger. For the main part, I'd use the big one, typically,a s that would be a week out. For the follow-up quick hits (one or two cities), I'd use a small one, come home, then grab the other one when I went back out, so I didn't have to worry about packing, laundry, re-packing, etc.

By seasons' end, Gonzo/Ja Jones/Jon Jones will be one of if not the best outside cb trios in the nfl. Jon was a damn good outside cb last season despite what some misinformed posters here post and he's the best of the 3 right now. But he will play a lot of slot cb this year as well as rotating some at outside cb. Gonzo and Jack both have very high ceilings and just wait til December when both will hopefully be playing at full speed because they'll know the defense and won't have to think as much- just use their natural athletic abilities.
And slot cb will be great with Jon,arguably the best on the nfl or very close to it and Marcus as his understudy.
The safeties are deep, versatile and talented.
Overall, the secondary isthe best unit on tge team w/o question.
Could well turn out to be the best Pats secondary all-time in another year.

i get it.....but a majority of these charges in situations like this are dropped, reduced, plead out to very minor charges simply because, for some d reason, this happens a lot accidentally......

This is where I am at. Glad he got that cleared up but there are so many red flags with this guy already that I don't see him lasting past his rookie deal. Not that anyone will every turn into Hernandez in all likelihood but there were lots of red flags there as well and they seemed to be ignored until it all blew up.

Idk if it's unreasonable to not want loaded guns on a plane lol. But I'm glad his life won't be ruined because of it. I'd like to think he's a good kid.

Not unreasonable to not want loaded guns on a plane. They should be in checked bags. The only people who need a loaded gun on the plane are the air marshals and the people looking to hijack a plane.

Baffling that mistake could even happen. Why leave two guns loaded ready to rock n roll? Maybe teams need to start educating players on local gun laws and tsa rules and regs.

8 of the 9 charges were dropped. He's not cleared. He still has to do community service and has one year probation.
