Really think what's driving Belichick crazy with 40 year old Brady is there's no finish line.
If Brady came into this season and said I'm playing 2 more years and that's it then Jimmy G would still be here and the Patriots would be all set at QB for the next ten years.
But that is not what's happening.
Brady won't commit to anything, he's got the owners love and loyalty and because of it the GM/HC is stuck in a holding pattern when it comes to the most important position on the football field.
Don't care what the stats say, Brady's game is slowly diminishing. He no longer plays strong games....he plays strong quarters or strong series. It's not a criticism at all, he's 40 years old and that trend of diminishing play will only get worse.
Garappolo was to Brady what Young was to Montana and Rodgers was to Favre.
And the owner forced the GM to trade the heir apparent because I believe Belichick was going to move on from Brady after NEXT season but was told Brady stays as long as he wants, Brady will not commit to any timetable for his retirement and that made working out a long term deal with Garappolo impossible without blowing up the roster.
That’s what is driving you crazy, don’t try to pretend you and Belichick are of like minds because he chose Brady, wheareas you wanted to get rid of both 3 years ago.
