Cowherd said was from a source. He’s from Washington state and his reporting on The Wilson contract negotiations with the team was pretty much spot on. He went on to explain the conflict between Wilson and Carroll. Wilson blames the lack of a quality line and Pete’s old fashioned offensive ways. Pete blames Wilson thinking he’s too interception prone. The conflict is not reconcilable and while the Seahawks would rather trade him to an AFC team, the Bears have been really aggressive in pursuing Wilson. It was presented as sourced and not idle speculation.

There is talk in Seattle that the team may convert his base salary into bonus money to free up cap room which would make Wilson untradable because the Seahawks would get a $39 million accelarated cap hit. Wilson's contract gives the team the ability to do that without his approval.

I am sorry but no one has inside knowledge of multiple separate trades with multiple teams like that. There are way too many variables.

Sure the Seahawks may want to trade Wilson out of the NFC and relationship may be really bad, but Cowherd cannot have inside knowledge of each team in his trade scenario are planning to do.

I saw Cam Newton resigned and I got excited. Then I saw the 1 year deal part and got nauseous.

I think we all expected a drop off, but if he's the QB for another season it'll be very frustrating, especially if I have to read all of the excuses for him. He sucks.

Can someone please explain why the Pats let Brady go without another QB?

I think you can compare the WR group as they are largely the same. Brady had better TE's (marginally i know). Rex And white for more of the season but a worse line and no FB. I could be wrong but i think the line was inconsistent last year depending on injuries and was better at run blocking than pass protection. Cam i think can only be better. Coming into a new scheme in july with no preseason and a limited group of WR would be a challenge for anyone. He is limited and his mechanics aren't great but as a cheap fall back with a view to drafting a decent prospect in the draft i'm ok with it. Not over the moon but it could be worse.

Then, Tuggie decided that he needed to take attention off of his John Thomas by cutting AB. Then, Gordon apparently had some kind of an episode and got cut. So by week 7, the WR corps was essentially scrapped except for Edelman/Dorsett. Dorsett was, for some reason, woefully unprepared for the new role thrust upon him. Harry was on IR and then coming in as a rookie who'd been on IR. Meyers was just Meyers, only as a rookie. In other words, Brady went from just having to coordinate what was, arguably, the best WR corps in the league to trying to train up a pair of rookies who weren't ready for prime time while trying to help Dorsett handle the new role, all while the OL was in a slow state of collapse.

So, sure, go ahead and try to make the comparisons.

and since Edelman is broke down again, we need two receivers (Samuel the free agent and Moore of ole miss would be perfect)

I think the tight ends make a year two leap and actually contribute a bit.

Thought we determined this but if you missed this here's the summary.

BB decided that he wanted to win a Championship without Brady to cement his legacy, so he kicked Brady to the curb even when Brady was willing to sign a very cheap 2 yr $50m contract for a QB with MVP skills. Instead it's Brady who's won one without BB and cemented his. Now BB is doubly under pressure and looks a fool, and has gone scatter-brained and making stupid decisions.
