Brown Has Only Himself to Blame for his Ruined Patriots Opportunity

And this opportunity was quite frankly much better than he deserved.

I'm bummed out for basically everybody involved - not the least of which, for Brady, who in his 20th season got all of one game to pilot a historic receiver corps.

Absurd headline. Only himself to blame for highly suspicious, likely false accusations flung his way within 24 hours of becoming a Patriot? Only himself to blame for some non-controversial, private text messages that were leaked to the public by some lowlife journalists who proceeded to sensationalize their content? Why the hell should the Patriots care if he "texted his accuser"? Is this illegal? Is this relevant to football? Are the Patriots the morality police or a football team? Looks like they caved to external factors. And by "they" I'd speculate Kraft had a lot to do with cutting the All-Pro receiver.

Brown surely has himself to blame for no longer being a Steeler or Raider.

Sorry to upset your sad worldview, but here in the real world total douchebags aren’t magically entitled to jobs. And NE decided it had enough of employing a particular total douchebag.

If Brown doesn’t like it, he could have tried to not be a total douchebag.

I dunno, having spent his career prior to this season catching passes from an unrepentant serial rapist, it's easy to see where Brown got the idea that nothing he did was that big a deal.

Guess he didn't get the memo that it's only OK if you're white and your team is owned by someone named Mara or a Rooney.

The funny thing is as a teammate for 11 days, I have heard nothing but positive things from teammates. If anything, it was his actions prior to arriving in NE and most importantly, that unnecessary text given the (fair or unfair) spotlight placed upon him that was his ticket out of town. Shame.

Or Irsay. Remember the teabagger.

Skin color has less to do with it than ownership/market share/league legacy status does.

I think Schlereth shares your sentiment but with all due respect he said it better...

What are you talking about? Who are you quoting here?

You said that the article didnt mention that the charges are “without merit,” so far you have been unable to say how you reached that conclusion.

He obviously rubbed Kraft the wrong way

Keep your Antonio Brown topics on the Mega Thread, or you'll get in troubleee

Brown Has Only Himself to Blame for his Ruined Patriots Opportunity

Ian Logue

They say for some people, they're their own worst enemy and that certainly appears to be the case for now-former Patriots receiver Antonio Brown.

I like how you got right to the core of AB’s issues...it’s all self-inflicted.

I’m a big believer at looking inward whenever we face challenges in life. More often than not, our problems are our own doing.

In today’s culture of pointing fingers and claiming we’re “victims”, this article was refreshing.

Case in point, re: illiteracy.

Case in point, re: illiteracy.

I’m so sorry you suffer from that.

The rest of us wonder what was “private” about a group text with 5 people, one of whom was an unsolicited recipient. The part about “non-controversial” is even funnier.

The only words, which you mistakenly got right, is that he has only himself to blame.

It's mind-blowing to me that he hasn't been suspended for the hotel incident in Miami. Hurling large objects off of a 14th story building while people run in fear below. Unbelievably reckless behavior that actually is very deserving of prison time. This guy is completely off the rails.
