1) I was wondering when the inevitable merge was gonna happen.
2) I guess the mods bowed to the reality that if there is no AB thread in the main forum one will spontaneously generate.

Brown’s self-inflicted problems aren’t lost on anyone who thinks the Patriots made the wrong move. Exhibit B is Tyreek Hill and there about 25 other exhibits of players who have done bad things, taken their suspension, and returned to the team. The other major complaint is how the same guy could play for the Steelers for so many years and skate by, but the NFL actually broke precedent by investigating a non-criminal matter within a week of him joining the Patriots. Brown was involved in a bunch of things with the Steelers, like his furniture throwing tirade.

One word answer for that last question. Tomlin.

He should go to SF. With that D, they’d be the favorite out of the NFC.

How awkward would it be if he met the Pats in the Super Bowl?

I wouldn’t want any part of that 9ers D line.

None of the other Jets Suck threads up there? Heck, the current one already is 137 pages halfway through the season.

If you merged the Deflategate threads, it would be much, much bigger than this.

Well, Antonio Brown *was* a legend here.

Why? By the way, the Jets Suck 2018 thread had 138 pages. You're being far from comprehensive!

One must also factor in the "ghost" posts of the thousands of Pats fans that READ the Jets Suck thread, agree 100% but defer actually posting because they are well bred, sensitive human beings...these THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of good people leave it to US, the unbridled, fearless arm of Patriot Nation, to the thankless task of insuring the world knows..the JETS SUCK.

If one were to factor in this "ghost" factor, the Jets Suck thread would easily top 25,000 every year.

Was he arrested? I may be wrong on this, though it wasn’t a civil suit. If so I stand corrected. Zeke, though, was suspended and returned later that season, which seemed to be a reasonable scenario with Brown. The Patriots also would not have had to pay him much, considering he’d miss most of the season and have no chance at his incentives. $3-5M or so for AB in the late season and playoffs. Had Jerry Jones been in Kraft’s shows, this obviously drawn out fake investigation would have already wrapped up, punishment doled out, and everyone moves on (and the Patriots would have an all-pro WR for the playoffs.)

On a personal note I'd just like to take a moment to say thank you and commend the selfless yeoman's effort trailblazers such as yourself and Brother Tune have put in to ensure younger generations remain aware of the scourge that is Jete stank. Deep down in places those good people don't like to talk about at parties they want you on that wall, THEY NEED YOU ON THAT WALL.

Not cranky at all. I’d have been more harsh if that were the case. Just enjoying the pure irony of a guy making fun of other people for participating in this thread when he has at least 1/3 of the posts in it.

I LOVE a good rubbernecking. And Antonio Nicole is a spectacular car crash! :p

Hey does anyone remember when Fat Ben actually raped - beyond any reasonable doubt - at least two women, got suspended, and still returned in the same season, making the SB in 2010/11?

Here’s what’s really happening: the league was already furious with Brown’s antics with the Steelers (their little sweethearts) and especially with the Raiders, since he set a really bad precedent in behaving like a turd to get released...basically conning the team out of money. The league is lumping everything together as a special brand of punishment for Brown, who in missing an entire season will be an example for other players who want to go rogue. We’ve seen players beat up and rape women and get 4-6 games. The Patriots gladly took on the Raiders financial disaster by displacing the salary lost from Oakland and instead inserting themselves as the team on the hook, and it will be this contract that will be the hardest to void.

If Brown was suspected of rape, that’s a six game suspension, but he’s, in a sneaky way, suspended for the entire season. All it took was a very naive owner doing what he can for the image of the league (the same one that fabricated a cheating controversy against the greatest player ever, who has built Kraft’s entire reputation.) Releasing Brown was just so incredibly pointless and stupid. He could have been sitting there in the exempt list this whole time after the public has simmered down and realized the league was stalling and needed to act; he would have been an active player with rights and representation from the NFLPA. Kraft stabbed him with Goodell’s knife. What a moron. Jonathan needs to wrestle the team away from the senile prune.

I don’t care how many championships Belichick and Brady win; Kraft is still foolish and a complete puppet of the NFL, involved in everything from denying CTE to pushing for a 17 game schedule. He’s not someone you need to respect or like to root for the team.

31 other teams, even the crappy and mediocre ones, all seem to agree that they do not want AB on their team..

It seems time to move on..
