Andrew Luck will play football in 2020 after a year off, guaranteed.

He's retiring, not taking a year off. I don't know what his contract status might be, but if he decides to come back he likely remains Colts property. Seems he's done with football.

He isn’t a bust, he led the colts to an AFC runner up back in 2014.

I stated pretty clearly that I also didn't think he was a bust, but if that's the high-water mark for a guy that was supposed to be so good you dropped Peyton Manning to get him then you're in disaster territory. I know they give out banners for that in Indy but it doesn't make it a real, legacy-defining accomplishment.

Anyways, it’s too bad he never got out of Indy and amounted to much. Had so much promise but he Colts and injuries killed him. Wish him well going forward.

People are going to rip on this post, but it isn't that wrong. I wouldn't call him a bust, but he was absolutely a disappointment. Dude was billed as the next great, sure-thing QB, to the point that they bailed on Manning to get him. All for a guy who retired before age 30 having never made an all pro team. If you were billed as the next great thing, failing to be a top 5 QB at any point in your career has to be considered a disastrous outcome considering the expectations.

How many busts throw over 40 TDS in a season. And how many take average at best rosters with average at best coaching to the playoffs, and a title game. Being a bust and not living up to expectations are different things.

Is drew bledsoe a bust? Absolutely not

That’s kind of ****ed up actually. They can successfully “lose” a top-tier (potential-wise anyway) QB and just immediately tank for a new golden boy right away, twice. Guess the first time didn’t really work out though, despite Luck seeming like a sure fire lock for NFL success.

They have a talented enough roster and a fed-up enough fan base to make tanking unlikely, IMO. My guess is they manage a so-so season then go all-in on some middling veteran QB, a la Minnesota and Kirk Cousins.
