at Hou - they're better than their 2-7 record indicates, but if the Pats want to make the playoffs, that's a game they have to win.
vs Ari - stopping Kyler is going to be extremely difficult; thankfully, Arizona's defense is terrible.
at LAC - dynamic rookie QB, but NE should win that one.
at LAR - Rams playing very, very well right now...difficult matchup.
at Mia - third road game in a row, let's see if Cam does better in Miami than Brady did.
vs Buf - already played the Bills tough this year...should be another great game.
vs NYJ - should win.
They're gonna need to win 5 of these last 7 games. Will be tough, but consider:
- They have already beaten three very good teams (Mia, LV, and Balt).
- They came really close to beating two other very good teams (Sea and Buf).
- They hung in there against KC with Brian Hoyer at QB, after flying in 3 hours before game time.
Yes they also lost to a bad Denver team, but (a) they had just gotten Cam back, and Cam clearly wasn't right, and (b) they had just practiced twice in the span of two weeks. The SF game was just a disaster all the way around, no sugar coating that one.
So the Pats have proven that they can play with the best teams in the NFL. Can they go 5-2 the rest of the way? Gonna be really hard, but I don't think it's impossible. All starts in Houston.
