Unless he re-injured it or had some type of setback in practice, of course. That was the first thing to come to mind.

Not sure what kind of "mind games" anyone would be playing with the opposition if a guy is limping around after practice in his own locker room a day or two before the game? Are they going to rip up their game plan and start over from scratch based on the possibility that Chris Hogan may/may not play? What is the benefit, as opposed to just keeping him questionable on the injury report, and why would PIT care what combination of receivers are out there at any given time?

It is absolutely possible he may have re-injured it even after the video I posted up-thread. No doubt about that. But all indications (at least from the folks you may/may not be inclined to believe/not believe) have said that he'll be there. I think like @long distance said, it'll probably amount to a shot before/during the game. Hopefully it doesn't cramp during this game.

We need him, man. Julian is already seeing way too many targets (we look at Pittsburgh's touches with Bell/Brown who are getting 1/2 the touches and claim that "they're a two man show," but Edelman alone is seeing about 1/3 of the targets).

The absence of Gronkowski is once again, hurting more than people realize. In the 8 games with Tom and Gronk together, Brady had 16+ fantasy points (a definite measure of production) in 7/8 games. In the 6 games since, Brady has only reached that production 3 times.

Better win this, I'm not prepared for another massive bummer this week. Hopefully Steelers run the same gameplan they always do vs us aside from that 2011 game. Spread em out and slice em up.

First hand Green. Not much said, some shots of him from todays “practice“ ..
“nice“ highlights reminder about his impact . opening the middle and esp. RZ

Fantasy points? C'mon dude....

Longest week ever I swear I might actually sleep all day tomorrow, feels like Super Bowl week lol

I feel like there's a ton of gamesmanship coming from Pitt. The locker room video, wishy washy on Green and broadcasting that the flu is going around. It's either pre-excuses or gamesmanship.

People were overreacting to Bedard's Hogan tweet. Bedard thinks he's still healthy enough to play well.

TB won 3 SB's without a Gronk and 1 with. He can do it again.

If i am the steelers i am constantly doubling edelman on 3rd downs. Brady throws to even double covered edelman when in trouble. Yeah, pats have other catchers but you need to force brady to go to them. Even vs houston, it was all edelman on the 90 yard drive with Brady throwing bombs to a double covered edelman. So I am worried about brady going to him too much like he did with welker in 2011/2012.
Almost all our playoff losses in recent times is because our offense hasnt kept its end of the bargain. Brady needs to play well for us to win as simplistic and obvious as it sounds.

How is that not an indicator of his production? It's not one any of us would choose as our preferred method, but the reality is that it is indeed, a measuring stick based on yardage, touchdowns thrown, etc.

No one said he wasn't winning, just that his offensive production has been down from where it was when Gronk was in there, which is s fact.

Despite how bad Floyd looked last week they can't possibly go into the game with Mitchell, Amendola, Hogan, and Bennett all banged up and not have some kind of insurance policy.

Like said before . baring a serious setback (nothing like that reported) . I would expect all 5 WRs to be active. The fact that most of them are or were recently banged up only adds to this conviction.

Floyd looked a beast in his first game, somewhat lost in the second (not entirely his fault) and he could well be a weapon again tomorrow (incl. RZ). Its not only on him, its on Tom as well and I hope he and Josh understand that the more receiving weapons they include early on, the better the chances are going forward. So instead of first downs Ill be counting different weapons included in the gameplan early on. (Id hate to see WR distribution like vs HOU: JE 13, Hogan 4, Floyd 3, Danny 2, plus only 4 to Bennett)

The Q is who sits?
Assuming Brissett, Waddle, Foster, Coleman, Richards and Cy Jones remain inactive and Mitchell is activated there is another spot to be filled:
Grissom and Bolden are core ST that contributed two key blocks (highlighted by BB) for Lewis' TD KR.
Lengel is the only other TE w Marty banged up.
Karras is not only backing up all 3 IOL but moreover gives on option in case Andrews can't recover from bad play.
Mingo is a core ST also, maybe somewhat less visible in the last period but a key piece esp. of coverage units all year. But his ST snaps are coming down and from the most used STer from the beginning of the season playing on all units he was the least used core STer last Saturday playing less than 50% which is unusual for exclusive ST guy. I guess he only played on 2 coverage units which might be a comment on his blocking.

Id probably go with Grissom but I wouldn't be surprised if its Mingo.

Compared to his first 5 games with Gronk I agree. Brady's numbers are not as robust.

But since they are still scoring 29ppg w/o Gronk and Tom is still Tom and playing at a high level im not going to say Tom is not as productive. As a QB, his job is to win, keep the team in good situations and for the offense to score points and he's still doing that at a high level without Gronk.

Not sure where you are getting this from but Brady has 5 games of 16+ points without Gronk.

SF
jests 2x
****birds
lolphins

Had 20+ points in 4 of them. Against the Rams he had 14 but that game they used the Plan F gameplan.

Also not sure where you get that they played 8 games together. Only played 5, Browns, Bungles, jills, Steelers and Seahawks. He missed the 49ers game and went out early against the jests

I have no real information about how fantasy football is calculated. I do have a gut level reaction that anyone who pays attention to fantasy football has their mind corrupted by it and can't be taken seriously when analyzing real football. Fantasy football is the pornographication of the sport. Using it to evaluate players is like measuring the quality of your social life by the number of FB friends you have.

Now get off my lawn.
