NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION AFCCG: Bengals at Chiefs

Hopefully Kermit has a BUNCH of LOSER games..... I'll LOVE IT!
Yeah he sucked.

This is on him. Not Reid.

But it happens.

He's still a great player.

He will rebound.

But this team absolutely needs to think about a 3rd option after Kelce & Hill. You can't rely on two guys forever.

There are never any guarantees in life. And I thought Cincinnati would be a cake walk.

Come on.

How many here had the Bengals coming back like this?

I'll admit I said game over.
Well I turned it off when it was 21-3. Mainly because I had some work to do. But I saw most of the comeback.

Patrick Mahomes cap number:

2021: $7.4 million
2022: $35.8 million
2023: $46.8 million

There's a very active thread titled Mahomes lost this one 5 ways

Focus will certainly be on Mahomes. But the whole team was flat the entire second half. The D played way more tired than it should have on that last drive. And for all Nantz's talk about "the Chiefs are all about playing 60 minutes today" -- they didn't.

I have no idea how the Chiefs gagged like that.

This was a layup. The whole team healthy, once again getting incredibly lucky as no injuries to their big 5 superstar players. Got a second life after “winning” that Buffalo game. Won two OT coin tosses. Brady eliminated. Cincinnati is obviously a good team but not close to a powerhouse.

The Chiefs prime years are likely over. Their ages, the cap, their luck with health…this was such a gimme. I was fully expecting them to win it.

How do you blow a 21-3 lead and choke this bad? Mahomes almost couldn’t possibly have played worse after halftime.
Atlanta blew a 28-3 lead so it's possible

Honestly that Chiefs Planet is a ceast pool.

Ok let's not be prisioners of the moment here. Let's not go overboard.

There's a god damn thread up asking if Burrow is better than Mahomes.
That is ridiculous. It’s like starting a “is Flacco better than Brady” that one year he thought he was elite !

I mean, I like Burrow. I think he’ll be VG. But, let’s ease off !

Hill is an FA after 2022 season. I wonder if some team throws $30M at him.

It's not just Mahomes, it's also Reid who choked.

He pissed away the last possession of the first half by not taking the FG.

True.

But he trusted the best QB in the league to make a play. I can't fault him.

When they kicked that FG I jumped so high I lost my balance and fell. I haven't done that since the Pats won their super bowls
