AB toying with us again

Reiss/Curran/Howie vs Fauria/Zolak! Cage Match! I bet Zolak clotheslines Reiss into knocking him out and Fauria does a piledriver on Curran to send him to snoozeland. Then it’s Fauira + Zolak versus Howie. I’ll take F+Z for the win and the return of AB to the Pats as the prize
I like the way you think

Yup, that reasoning level sounds about right for the AB crowd.

j/k - - I appreciate your sense of humor.

Until I see that it is an "unequivocal no" I will keep believing it

Multiple inside sources have confirmed to multiple reporters that Kraft forced the issue and asked BB to release AB. This was reported in numerous articles. I am not going to go and find all the links. Go through that 600 page thread. Sorry but you are wrong.

Just so we're on the same page:

Multiple reporters saying Kraft forced AB's release=gospel truth.

Multiple reporters saying AB will not be re-signed by the Pats=well, there's no way they could no for sure unless their source was Kraft himself, it could still happen.

Is that about right? Because if we have to believe the reports were right the first time, why are we still talking about AB coming back as if it could actually happen?

There were no contradictory reports that time (e.g. articles saying that it was BB who forced it)

This time there’s some contradiction from different sources and we’re debating the efficacy and veracity of each source. It’s fair to say most people find Reiss/Curran more reliable.

Of course I want him back. The reality is the situation is sensitive and media is ready to pounce. Until he signs elsewhere the possibility will exist. If there are discussions they will be top secret and we won't know anything. Not losing sleep over it that's for sure. Would have been so great if he did as expected when here.

...more reliable than Incarcerated Bob, Zo, Fauria, Turkey Brylcreem and Mo Champagne?????

Myers, concussed Dorsett, and Sanu with high ankle sprain...WR corp in shambles, throw in weak at TE as well. Of course this team need AB..badly.

Whats your point? I’m a chubby mamas boy. And proud of it!

BTW, 2010 and 2013 for those posts????? You must be CIA!!! You weren’t even here then.

What is the cutoff point for re-posting other posters words? I ask because your signature contains posts from @FCB02062 that are nearly 3 years old.

No cutoff at all. I was impressed. And he wasn't even HERE when I posted that stuff.

And, by the way, aren't those FCB trolling posts rubbing what he thought was an epic Patriot SB loss in the faces of the members of the forum preciously timeless?

There's a complete difference between someone giving up and saying "it's over" and someone who happily celebrates and spams over and over during Patriots defeats - - that is what FCB did that night and what he continues to do to this day. He comes here to actively rub Patriot defeats in our faces. It is what it is.

For me personally, having a disagreement in a thread is fine, but I'm not a fan of taking shots at specific posters in a signature. So, no, I don't look at that as timeless.

I remember last year there were quite a few fans here who gave up on the team after losing Gordon and the Pittsburgh game. Some of them said "the season is over." I argued plenty with them but I wouldn't even think of posting their names and words in my signature. Let bygones be bygones I say.

Curran, Howe, and Reiss have all said it's a "No".

I think it's important to remember that Fauria and Zo's contributions were that NE was kicking around the idea of AB coming back. Never that he was or that anything was imminent.

It's very possible they did what SEA did, some deeper digging into AB and his recent legal moves, and decided it isn't worth it last night.

Onto the Cowboys

The "Free AB" crowd are conveniently forgetting the events and circumstances which led to his release.

In his two prior pressers BB handled AB-related questions fine. It was the 3rd presser in which BB stormed off after a couple of minutes because AB went after the artist in the group text.

Do you not think BB was pissed as hell AB didn't comply with their wishes and not curb his social media activity?

That was not "reporting" Those were rumors.

AB is going after Kraft because hes not paying him $9m.

Here is how I think it went down.
-AB threatens artist.
-BB is pissed as hell b/c AB didn't comply with team rules. Was most likely going to be inactive or play sparingly the following game
-NFL is concerned about ABs texts to the artist (this came AFTER the BB presser)
-NFL notifies Kraft/BB of their concerns
-League says it will put him on the exempt list because of the texts
-Kraft/BB asks how long that is. They don't give and answer.
-BB and Kraft discuss if its worth keeping and paying this guy $4.5m on 9/23 while on the exempt list
-BB says no
-AB cut.

For fans to say BB was strong armed in cutting BB are taking a leap.

Wow. That's a lot of innuendo. Maybe, but Curran reported that it was Kraft who forced BB to cut Brown. No one reported that it was BB who wanted Brown gone or that Curran was wrong.

So he’s countersuing someone whom he believes is doing him wrong and falsely accusing him of a crime. Someone who smeared his name, what’s the problem with using all of your resources to go after this person who you believe is doing you wrong?

I would do the same, why should he care if she doesn’t have the financial resources to fight back? Why should he have any sympathy for her?

I agree. I think Taylor Swift sued or countersued someone for $1. It was effective in making a point.

It’s at most 6 games and the playoffs and he has a very expensive settlement happening. I’d bet the former.

He managed to play a total of one game before getting himself jettisoned from Oakland and New England.

With him I'd say all bets are off.
