I definitely wish they were winning more of these close games, but they are hardly a wrecked franchise.Depends on how far back you're looking. Do you think they've been good since Halloween of 2019 ?

Michel's better served in his new system, and it might even extend his career, because it should be less wear on that knee of his.I agree - Maroney is another guy who I felt got a bit of an unfair deal here. He and Michel are similar in that regard, but neither is worth the amount of criticism they received vs their contributions. Again, blame the team, not the player, for where they were taken.
Some people enjoy following their favorite teams by complaining about everything. Not sure why they get enjoyment out of it, but I'm glad it is entertaining for them.I agree - Maroney is another guy who I felt got a bit of an unfair deal here. If there was a drop off in AH's production in 2012, one really does need to consider the tumultuous life he was living at the time. We all remember Odin Lloyd, but he was also found guilty of a double murder in Boston that occurred in June of 2012. The guy was going off the rails at the time.He was used the same and had a high-ankle sprain middle of the year. Need context. He actually had more rushes under BOB. Are you suggesting AH should have been used as more of an in-line TE and not an H-back?
They didn't run spread in 2013. They actually stayed pretty much in 11 and ran for over 2k yards. They adapted once Gronk went down.
Not accurate. Marty and Gronk had multiple games of solid production together on the same field.
Because the personnel was horrible.
There is plenty. Need to have two TEs who can catch. When Josh had 2, they did that.
Yeah...if we could keep the thread on topic and not go there, that would be great.
I think we need to hide this thread from @Pape, he is crying right now over people criticizing NKeal Harry.

You always had a keen eye for talent.I’m beginning to feel like Harry isn’t that good.
He was definitely hurt but I would not dismiss your point at all.If there was a drop off in AH's production in 2012, one really does need to consider the tumultuous life he was living at the time. Awesome! Since you brought up it up, let's see who was sitting here bottom right (likely advocating for the pick which is how it got done) for NKeal Harry. Awesome job by the oc, every time he's in the war room you know it's going to be a total disaster. So glad that Eliot Wolf, Matt Groh, and Patricia came in to fix the mess.
It was in the funnies. I still laugh when I think about it.We’ve known he is garbage for quite some time. Still hilarious that he wanted a trade and it made the news.
I did not mean to offend you, sorry. I am supporting people's right to enjoy the team anyway they like and was definitely not meaning to single you out. When they're winning it's great. I was noting positive things during the 7game winning streak. Don't try to say criticisms are off limits when the team is losing

You should offend him. He is an imbecileI did not mean to offend you, sorry. I am supporting people's right to enjoy the team anyway they like and was definitely not meaning to single you out.
TL;DR: I can't justify calling him a bust and my narrative depends on him being a bust so I'll act magnanimous then loop back and double down.Best of luck to him. I truly wish him well. Seemed like a good guy, just not worth where he was taken. Still think the drafts from 2013-2019 wrecked the team (particularly the high pick misses) and we're trying to replenish the talent now because of it.
The New England Patriots are hardly a "wrecked" team. That is a bit of an exaggeration, don't you think?
He's the starting RB and leading rusher on the Rams who are 11-4 and leading their division. He's literally proving that he's starting level not replacement level when healthy.Yeah I would just politely push back here, again if you basically force a guy with snaps (see: NKeal Harry, Wynn) then they're going to produce something. And that year they had Gronk, Develin, a great OLine, did you see the massive running holes being created in the playoffs. So before we credit Sony for doing something special, the value over replacement player, I think Blount or really any downhill RB would have been fine in the exact same situation without burning a 1st round pick for it.
Okay, open the lens a bit wider then:That's a little unfair to give him all the credit. How did he get into that position? Brady and Gronk set that up. And the blocking allowed him to walk into the endzone.
Ref: Sony Michel - WikipediaIn the Divisional Round against the Los Angeles Chargers, Michel had 24 carries for 129 yards and three touchdowns in a 41–28 victory.[39] During the AFC Championship against the Chiefs, he ran for 113 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries in the 37–31 overtime road victory.[40] Michel broke the NFL record for most playoff rushing touchdowns for a rookie, scoring five between the divisional and conference championship games.[41] On February 3, 2019, he scored the only touchdown in Super Bowl LIII against the Los Angeles Rams, carrying 18 times for a game-leading 94 yards. The go-ahead touchdown occurred in the middle of the fourth quarter in the 13–3 victory. Michel was the leading rusher in the game[42] and extended his rookie postseason rushing record to six touchdowns in three games; he scored six touchdowns in 13 regular-season games.[43] Only Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis has rushed for more touchdowns in a single postseason than Michel; Davis scored eight touchdowns in four games in the 1997 postseason.[44] Michel is the first player since Davis with more than four rushing touchdowns in one postseason.[45]
Criticizing is one thing, going with narratives like bust, disaster, wrecked etc is well off target for a team that is in position to make the playoffs with a rookie QB.When they're winning it's great. I was noting positive things during the 7game winning streak. Don't try to say criticisms are off limits when the team is losing
We are on the same side for sure. we just have slightly different ways of expressing our views about the team. It's cool with me, I just don't relate to some of the exaggerations about how bad the team is. I definitely have my share of criticisms of players and coaches, but I rarely carry them past that game or next play. It just doesn't seem important enough for me to have it affect me negatively for so long. Refs are a different story, I'm still bitter about the phantom RTP against Oakland in '76. Also, any criticism of the NFL league office is encouraged. We're on the same side. I want BB to win another ring before he gets too old. I guess it's a mild victory to make the playoffs and get bounced. I thought this team had enough pieces to make a run if they didn't botch the lineups or coaching (not talking about BB)
Wrong cat, Jack! That's easy to find. The Rams took Sony Michel when this board and the chorus of mediots wanted him out of town pronto, now he's the lead back on the Rams and having a good season. The Panthers took Sam Darnold when there were years of footage showing he sucked. Tampa took Lenny Fournette when the Panthers thought he was hopeless and turned him into Playoff Lennie. Some times it's all about changing things up.
