Xavier Howard former CB for the Dolphins who now plays for the Colts said on Monday the day after the week one game that if you take away Tua’s first read then panic mode sets in and that’s what the Colts focused on. Something to keep an eye on this Sunday.
Huge caveat to this, if you pressure him!!
There’s zero chance he was hitting his first read all the games he shredded us. Our pass rush was so bad he had time to get thru his reads.
If we don’t pressure him Sunday, the results will be the same.

That’s crazy no rushing attempts in the 2nd half.
Josh did this in Vegas too even when he had a good RB like Jacobs. One bad run and that's it time to shut it down.

Note that both these new guys also have an injury history and Cole Strange is now the backup RG.

I hate reading too much from players' social media posts, but take this for what it is worth.

MIA is the worst team in the division. One source had them as the worst power rating in the NFL.

MIA is truly a terrible team competing for the first draft choice.

When the practice jersey looks better than the actual game day jersey. Lol.

Terrell Williams out again. Vrabel says unrelated to his previous stuff.

I really wanted to root for a guy who spent so long coaching positions and finally got his break to be a DC after age 50. It's a feel-good story.

So far the only feeling we're getting is abandonment issues from the way this guy's tenure has started.

Remember how bad Miami was last season sans Tua? They still beat the Pats in Foxboro.

Well, after that horrible scheme and play calls on D - maybe T.Will being out "not for previous stuff" means he's fired.
I'm not impressed so far, and think the LB coach who ran the D all during OTA's and TC should get the gig now.
We can't have this walking heart attack be responsible for our season.

I doubt he is getting canned after one week. Let's be real here.

Was just going to post this. To me thats not a great sign again. I mean, did this dude tear his hamstring or what?
Every strain is a tear except grade 1. So yes, he definitely tore it to some degree.

it's frustrating. But we didn't loose to the Raiders because of Davis & Austin. We lost because of literally every other position group. Safeties were bad, LB's were very bad, DL had some success, but not consistent in pass rush.

The #1 player on blast right now is Spillane. For all his hype, he was not quick enough in recognition, nor physical enough in the moment. I saw on replay - some very upsetting plays where he pulls up when approaching QB or ball carrier. This guy was supposed to be Bruschi. He better lay it out there on Sunday!

Thoughts on Miami....

They aren't as bad as the score last game said, but they aren't good.

Let's start with the D. They gave up 33 points to Indy... not so great. But keep in mind their offense gave up 3 turnovers and didn't do much most of the game. So they were kind of left out to dry. Their talent isn't that bad. They lost some players since last year and are worse on paper, but they got pretty good pressure and overall held up well vs the run on a per run average. I think their DL played okay. Not great but respectable. Robinson is an up and coming young player with a lot of promise. Judon has a bit left in the tank. Chubb looks close to 100%. Sieler is not thought of highly enough but he is a good player. Grant the young draft pick may or may not live up to his 13th overall pick status. But the point is there is plenty of talent on that line. The Pats OL will have a much harder challenge this week overall.

As for their pass D. It is the weaker part of their D as you'd expect. They lost a lot last year and gained very little to nothing of note. Fitzpatrick can't hold it all together by himself. They gave up some decent sized windows to the Colts. Hopefully we can take advantage.

As for their offense... Tua won't play that bad again. But they don't have much going for them. Hill looks to not be bouncing back. He lost a step for sure.. and speed was most of his game. Waddle just isn't the same without peak Hill to take heat off him. As the #1 he has shown very little. Archane is absolutely dangerous though... and their OL is... so-so. Or was... Losing Daniel Jones in the opener was a killer. He was suppose to be the glue to hold it together. Austin Jackson their RT being out to on the same side... not good at all. Add in a rookie LG (high draft pick but rookie). This OL has issues. Als Darren Waller maybe not suiting up wouldn't help either.

Even if Tua were to play well... I don't see them having a ton of things they can do. So they aren't as bad as shown last game.... but they won't be good.

I think our DL will feast again. As for our DBs... Davis won't play that bad 2 weeks in a row. He is a good player. But that was horrible. Spillane will do better too. The DBs as a whole will. That was just messy. But can we stop their run game? I think so. At least we can keep it from doing much damage. So i think our D will have a better week than last week.

As for our offense... Hard to say. The Raiders pass D wasn't that good either, but they couldn't get open consistently. As for holding up to their pass rush. I think the OL did well last week but this week it won't just be the outside or 2 players to worry about. It will come from everywhere. Clearly the Pats can and need to do better on the ground. I don't think they will be on the ball against dump offs to the RBs as much as the Raiders were... they were all over every one of them. Miami let a fair amount go and gave some cushion.. i think they will again. And they had trouble with the TEs last week which boast well for another big game by Henry. But we need more Williams, a lot more. Put Chism out there too. Less Stevenson more Gibson.

A lot depends on how our OL handles their DL. IT will be close i think.
Not sure I agree with all but I really appreciate how much you put into it.

It isn't ugly now with all the fake fans whining and crying because they are too stupid to realize this is year one of yet another rebuild rather than a playoff run?
A 6-8 win team should beat MIA by 7-10 points. They are truly awful.

I guess that we will find out more about us.

lolphins offense definitely getting a get right game this week. Hill and Waddle probably both go for 120+. Tua probably 350+
