Before the game: "20 points is the target here. This will be a defensive slugfest, and if either team hits 20 points, they'll win."

After the 28-16 win: "What a pathetic showing from the Patriots offense."

If you genuinely didn't understand why Stroud would be praying with a team that beat him, now you do. You dont need to get beat over the head about it over and over. Its all good
I did not say I did not understand it. I said that is not the right competitive attitude I would want in my QB... in my opinion of course.

Y'all need to calm TF down over this... Whatever the hell you're going on about RE: religion, handshakes, sportsmanship, etc. - it truly does not matter.

Sometimes. But not in this case. You’re 100% in the wrong and might want to just drop it.
I don't really like remaining quiet when I get attacked.

Man there's so much I want to say...after the last 5 years of straight ********.

Instead...I'm playing 1980s punk rock on vinyl and putting on my patriot helmet and getting absolutely slaughtered.

No work tomorrow and the in-laws took the kid.

LFG Gang .......Bring on Stidham!!!!!

P.S - Milton Williams is a DUDE.

If I didn't have an early flight tmrw, I'd be doing the same. Drink two/three for me.

Look Pats’ D!!!…The Denver defense is over there with 60+ sacks, all high off their own altitude & getting all the accolades/media adoration!….They’re saying you guys haven’t played anybody worthy..

I'm not as big on Henderson as some.

He's got breakaway speed but he's not shifty or have the same RB instincts as Rham.

Should only be used as 3rd down back.
I agree as far as the shiftiness. I said that after we drafted him. A lot of people were comparing him to Jahmyr Gibbs. Henderson tries to beat you with straight line speed, which he has plenty of. He’s not very shifty. Guys similar to his size, especially Gibbs, and Cook, they have speed & shiftiness. I’m not enough of an expert on that, what causes guys not to have shiftiness, but I’m guessing vision has a lot to do with it.

Henderson has very little shiftiness, not saying he has zero shiftiness, but it’s not a major strength of his. I still think he’s gonna be a phenomenal weapon for the Pats, he had a GREAT rookie season.

How many wins did Taylor Kyles predict in his exuberance before the season started?

13?

I don’t think he predicted a possible trip to the SB.

Looks like Taylor was a pessimist.

I did no such thing. You, and I guess, others made that leap. My comment was about Stroud doing something with the team that ended his season right after they ended his season. That is why I said him doing it is pathetic (probably could have chosen a better) and not everybody else in that prayer circle.

People chose to read more into it than it was.
Dood you can think whatever you want to about praying and Christianity, for many it transcends their day jobs. Probably one of those times you should shut up and let those who do think that have their day. Continuing to argue your point doesn’t make it better, you obviously don’t get it.

You wouldn't actually make the argument that Maye played well, would you?

He's got to adjust for the pressure, change his protections, keep a eye on the dudes in his pocket and stop putting the ball on the ground.

He literally is the reason the game was as close as it was for as long as it was.

Anyone denying that, and believe me they're out there based on my downvotes are not working with a full deck.

Defense was amazing. Offense was something.

Not a lot a QB can do when there is a blindside hit as he throws shorty after the snap. Sometimes a rusher is simply too good. Just have to move on, which is what Maye did.
One sack was fake - right at the line of scrimmage on a QB run, and of course the hail-Mary interception doesn't count either.

Who do you give the game ball in this?

Jones?
Davis?
Boutte?
Diggs?
Chaisson?

That's what makes this team elite. Every game, there's about 5 people who you could make an argument for gameball.

Also I love that Diggs is happy even when not getting hella catches. He has bought into this team.

Even worse.

I just watched Drake Maye play like absolute TRASH for 4 quarters and you still won because of how bad CJ Stroud is.
As a whole, I agree that Maye was not good, but he made some big plays when needed. That is what very good QBs do is make big plays when needed despite playing like ****. Brady had some absolute **** games, but when a big play was needed more often than not he came through.

Stroud was terrible this game, but you're taking away from what our defense did.

Reading comprehension seems to be an issue. So let me try again. My opinion is about Stroud participating in an activity with the team that ended his season right after they did it.

I understand a prayer circle is about religion. The activity in question is not relevant.

You're the one with the reading comprehension issues. Your OPINION is garbage and you should have kept your stupidity to yourself.

Did you say a damn thing about the players participating when the Pats LOST during the season and Pats players said a prayer with the players from teams that beat them? No. You didn't. Because you're a f'in hypocrite and too stupid to understand that once the game is DONE, they're big enough to put things aside. Only small-minded buffoons like yourself make an issue of a non-issue like this.
