There were a number of plays to be made that Herbo did/could not make.

Anyone feeling good about the Pats defense after Sunday should watch Kurt Warner’s merciless critique of Justin Herbert’s performance:

Reminds me of the Stephon Gilmore play to seal it against the Jags in 2017 AFCCG. He was a controversial signing, but quickly saw why Bill paid him.

Williams had some clutch plays last weekend and the defense plays differently when both he and Spillane are on the field.

I have not watched the video yet, but I feel pretty good about the defense being able to pressure Stroud and confuse him. I think he has a much better game than Herbert though

Should've been 26-3. They're gonna need Every... Single... One... of those missing 10 points when the Best Defense in Football comes to visit Foxborough on Sunday. 16 ain't gonna be enough; not by a damned sight.

“Fourth down. Go win the game.”

Assignment given.

Task accomplished.

Milt earned his pay.
Jeez I am still recovering from the BB era. I heard "MILF! MILF!"

Because the best defense in football is going to score on us?

I mean, I agree, scoring more points is a good strategy. But that's mainly the offense's job. This is the nonnest sequitur I've seen in a while.

Really nice analysis of Drake in this game:

Thanks for posting that! I liked that he included a couple of bad plays to provide a full picture.

Also a nice compliment to Onwenu!

Comments addressing that by Hoyer after reviewing the All 22:

Great snip thx. Really liked his explanation on the trick Chism throw play.

the mike owenu play on the goal line was a nice highlight
Michael Onwenu have been very solid: also Morgan Moses; who had great double block on a nice pass play.

Not according to lots of posts on this forum. Some seem to feel riding him out of town on a rail after a bath of tar and feathers would be too good for him.

It's instructive that we get pretty much the same comment on a 14-3 Patriots team as on a 4-13 team.

Here's to sending Houston back to Texas to drown their troubles in a tub of steak or something.

Did he just call Spillane a liar?

Or did he just say the Chargers players lied to Spillane?

I get it. He’s sitting there in his comfy armchair, running and rerunning the tape in slo mo and stop action until he’s spent as much time as he needs to figure out what he’s seeing.

He can figure it out, so he’s calling ******** on the idea that Herbert and the rest of the Chargers couldn’t figure it out.

Of course, they had to do it in realtime while half a ton of violent men were running full speed at them intent on committing mayhem.

He could do it, why couldn’t they?

Makes perfect sense.

SMH.

You guys think she’ll get through waivers? We could use the pass rush help..

A massive reduction in his contract will do.

I think Kuhr call a multitude of formations and then utilized disguise on some but not others, so when you have 10 seconds or less to decipher when formation it is tricky. I guarantee I could sit and watch the all 22 on my couch and give a full detailed report of every formation.

watching it play out in real time while worrying about the pass rush is a MUCH different thing.
