Espn is ripping Stroud. Saying he just needed to not turn it over and the Texans would have won. They praised the Texans defense big time.

Of course......the Patriots defense was rarely mentioned as being the reason for the turnovers.

You play teams not just QBs... Houston's D this year is the best since the prime Legion of Boom or that small window with the 2015 Broncos. So anyway you slice it, at least 10 years.
Allen had no Mahomes, no Jackson, no Burrow.. this was his opportunity. We took advantage of our opportunities and is why we are in the AFCCG..

When does Allen and the Buffalo Bills ever take advantage of opportunities anyway? 0 Super Bowl appearances for Allen

Quick though on the up coming game and maybe what is to come.

Playing LAC and HOU will have prepared this offense for Denver... it will be tough, but they will be battled hardened. Probably mistakes will happen again, cause Denver does have a really good D even if it isn't all pretty. It probably won't be.

And if they get by Denver, when they play Seattle's D (And you know it is going to be them) they will have played 3 of the other top 5 or so Best Ds in the NFL.

What i like about these next 2 games (assuming they get to play both) is the goal is the same... Score more than 20 and hold on D.

it is Sean Payton with Stidham that concerns me if our oline will keep playing like this.
I understand.. but even with bo nix.. he has to pull out heroics to bring his team back far to often. Peyton is a good coach but I feel like we have the better overall coaching staff. Our OL saw two of the best defensive lines in the league last two games.. Houston i believe Is the best defense in the league..

Drake really needs to improve his ball security especially in the elements.

I know he's going up against some of the best defenses in the NFL but that's playoff football, you're going to be playing top 5 defenses regularly.

You're always going to get the occasional play where your tackle gets beat instantly and you get strip sacked and have no chance but that's 6 fumbles in 2 games at least 3 of which were totally on the quarterback either trying to throw the football while being hit or fumbling it while running the ball.

Its all coming together perfectly. You know if we win in Denver everyone will pimp the heck out of the nfc team and downplay our path. Im all for it
It's the perfect formula.

Every single week, the media overlooks the Pats and favors their opponent. Then the Patriots win, and the media points out how their opponent really lost the game for themselves, the Patriots didn't do anything special.

Vrabel uses both of these things - the media not crediting the Patriots for last week, and not respecting them for the upcoming week - to just build the chip on their shoulder more and more, and every week they come out with even more intensity; especially on defense, which has gotten ZERO love all year despite playing beyond championship caliber.

It's about to happen again. The media is criticizing Stroud instead of crediting NE's defense, and criticizing Maye's fumbles instead of recognizing that the offense still scored more points on Houston's vaunted defense than anyone has all season. Then, by mid-week, the media will start pumping Jarrett Stidham and the Broncos defense and talk about how they definitely can beat the Patriots, and we'll start getting screenshots of "analysts" picking the Broncos trying to be cute.

Vrabel welcomes it, because it's the perfect fuel to keep this train rolling.

—————->. Simple Math Hollins = ABOVE AVERAGE

It sucks but honestly, who cares? Plenty of talking heads have been praising the Patriots and very few have been taking anything away from them. Everyone knows that turnovers are some percentage luck and some percentage the actions of the defense and anyone who truly thinks that you can look at turnovers in a vacuum and invalidate a performance by the winning team due to them is clearly not very knowledgeable about football.

These people are paid to drive engagement from the public/ratings, so there will always be a quota to be hit for each possibility viewpoint.

They should have played the Bobby Bouché gameplan! I do think that is why Demarco punted late in the game, he had more confidence his defense could get a turnover, than his offense picked up a 4-18
